Giannis missed Thursday’s game against the Warriors with a knee injury. Kyle Kuzma replaced him in the starting lineup and had 10 points and eight rebounds. Kuzma and Bobby Portis would stand as the biggest beneficiaries if Antetokounmpo misses another game, but hopefully he can return sooner rather than later.

Turner’s gotten off to a slow start in Milwaukee, as he entered Thursday averaging just 8.3 points per game. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) unavailable, Turner had his most productive night of the season, recording highs in points and three-pointers. The good news for fantasy managers is that he’s blocked at least two shots in all five games, helping Turner maintain top-100 status in nine-cat formats despite shooting 38 percent from the field.

Kuzma was tabbed to replace Giannis Antetokounmpo in the Bucks’ starting lineup on Thursday, and he provided solid value in rebounds and assists. Unfortunately, Kuzma didn’t score much, but that had more to do with Ryan Rollins’ explosion than the forward struggling. With the Bucks returning to action on Saturday against the Kings, Giannis could be back on the floor. If so, there won’t be much of a need to hold onto Kuzma in most leagues.

Already without Kevin Porter Jr., the Bucks were forced to play Thursday’s game without Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee). Rollins understood the assignment and had the best night of his NBA career. The 2022 second-round pick, who began his NBA career with the Warriors, notched his first 30-point game and did so efficiently. Rostered in 29 percent of Yahoo! leagues, removing Rollins from the starting lineup will be difficult once Porter is healthy enough to play. Rollins is a must-roster player, even with the Bucks only playing once more this week.

The Bucks are without Giannis Antetokounmpo for Thursday’s game, as he is dealing with a sore knee. Kuzma, who struggled as a starter last season after being acquired at the February trade deadline, will fill the resulting void. While the opportunity raises his fantasy ceiling, Kuzma can be inefficient when given a high-usage role.

Giannis was initially probable for Thursday’s game, so his being downgraded to out is surprising. Kyle Kuzma, Taurean Prince or Bobby Portis is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup, with the former being the player who deep-league managers should target for streaming purposes.

Poeltl has been dealing with a lower back issue since the preseason, and he did not play in Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets. He’ll miss a second straight game on Friday, remaining in Toronto for treatment reasons. The hope is that Poeltl will be available for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies. Collin Murray-Boyles started against Houston, with Sandro Mamukelashvili as his primary backup. Both are worth streaming, with CMB offering a higher long-term fantasy upside.

While the Raptors certainly have their issues, Ingram wasn’t one of them against the Rockets on Wednesday. The 28-year-old small forward had no trouble scoring on one of the league’s best defensive guards in Amen Thompson. Ingram has now scored at least 22 points in three of five games so far this year. As long as he’s healthy, Ingram is going to have fantasy success with Toronto.

Barnes’ 31 points tied Kevin Durant for the game-high. The 24-year-old small forward’s improved three-point shooting is the story so far this year. Barnes shot just 27.1 percent from behind the three-point line last year, but is 11-of-20 from long distance to begin the season. It’s an excellent development for Barnes and his fantasy managers if this is more than just a hot streak.

Giannis isn’t the first elite player to change his shoes after a slow start, and he won’t be the last. In the aftermath of Tuesday’s performance, the Knicks likely hope the Bucks star would have remained in his first pair. Gianns got downhill at will, and his final stat line included seven assists, a number he’s met or exceeded in three straight games. While Ryan Rollins has filled in capably at the point with Kevin Porter Jr. (ankle) sidelined, KPJ’s injury also means more instances of “Point Giannis,” which is great for fantasy managers.

Rollins was sensational against the Knicks, making another start for the injured Kevin Porter Jr. He scored 13 points in the first half, a career-high for points in a half, and nearly matched that number after halftime. Rollins has three 20-point games in his career, with two coming against the Knicks. And based on Bucks head coach Doc Rivers’ comments about the injured Kevin Porter Jr. before Tuesday’s game, the starting point guard job may belong to Rollins for a bit longer. “He’s still out. He’s going to be out for a bit still,” Rivers said. “I mean, obviously, he’s key for us, one of our big keys. We’re not going to rush him because we don’t want this thing to become chronic. It was a bad turn and so we’re just gonna be patient.” Rollins is rostered in just 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues; pick him up if he’s available.

Through four games, he’s averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 three-pointers per game while shooting 61.8 percent from the floor. Knowing his career-best field goal percentage in a season is 49.5 percent, and that was an outlier when compared to his other seasons, he’ll certainly cool off as the season progresses. Still, this has been a fantastic start for him, and he’ll look to keep it going against the Rockets on Wednesday.

CMB made his debut for the Raptors on Sunday and was held scoreless in 13 minutes. However, he was fantastic in his 24 minutes off the bench in this one. He showcased the defensive production that made him an enticing prospect, and he was able to knock down shots from beyond the arc, which was the main question mark for him. Having totaled 11 points in his first two games as a Raptor, Mamukelashvili exceeded that number on Sunday. He shot 75 percent from the field, playing well enough to replace starting center Jakob Poeltl in the lineup to begin the third quarter. Poeltl played 19 minutes, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal. Given the time Poeltl missed during the preseason, the minutes may have been limited due to the Raptors taking on San Antonio on Monday. After shooting 7-of-16 from the field in his official Raptors’ debut, Ingram is 20-of-36 over his last two. He finished Sunday’s defeat a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line, and Ingram is off to a good start in his new home. However, with the Raptors visiting San Antonio on Monday to begin a four-game week, fantasy managers must watch for the early injury report. Murray-Boyles, the ninth overall pick in June’s draft, made his official Raptors debut after missing the first two games with a forearm muscle strain. The injury and resulting time off may have impacted the rookie’s shooting, as he missed all four of his attempts. Murray-Boyles’ stat line won’t make any waves in fantasy basketball, but he effectively bumped Jonathan Mogbo (one steal and one block in two minutes) out of the rotation. Mainly an option for fantasy managers needing three-pointers, Green has lived up to that expectation thus far. The Bucks guard has shot 10-of-17 from beyond the arc through three games. Sunday’s performance was Green’s best, as he mixed in a few shots in the paint and his first five free-throw attempts of the season. He remains a player who should be called upon solely for three-pointers, but Green has earned a place in the starting lineup and consistent opportunities. He should be on the radar in deep leagues, even with the Bucks only playing three games during Week 2.

While Ryan Rollins has served as the starting point guard in Kevin Porter Jr.'s absence, there has been an uptick in Antetokounmpo’s usage as a primary playmaker. He was excellent against the Cavaliers, dishing out nine assists and committing just two turnovers. Add in scoring, rebounding and defense, and Sunday was another great night to have Antetokounmpo rostered. Fantasy managers still have to punt free-throw percentage when rostering Giannis; he brings too much value to the table to lose sleep over a single category.
