Dosunmu scored 11 points in his debut for Minnesota on Sunday, and 24 hours after, he was able to showcase why he’ll make a big difference for the Timberwolves this season. He’s an excellent depth guard, especially on the defensive end, but it was the offensive impact in this game that was impressive. Dosunmu should be the primary guard option off the bench, which should lead to some decent production for fantasy managers, though his upside will be capped as a reserve.

For the third time this season, and the first time since early November, Randle was able to record a triple-double. Minnesota is now 3-0 in those games. Randle has been fantastic all season, though he has had a few subpar performances recently. That didn’t hold true in this one, and he even contributed on the defensive end by snapping a four-game streak without a steal. Randle will look to carry this into Wednesday’s matchup with the Trail Blazers.

After being held to 23 points in Minnesota’s last game, Edwards was able to get back on track by scoring 30 points for the fifth time in his last six games. He has enjoyed the best scoring season of his career. It isn’t often that teams are able to slow him down, and it certainly doesn’t happen in two consecutive games. They’ll host Portland on Wednesday in what will be their final game before the All-Star break; Edwards scored 41 points the last time they played the Trail Blazers, which was in the season opener.

As expected, Dosunmu was part of the Timberwolves’ bench rotation in his first appearance on Sunday. And his 25 minutes led the Timberwolves reserves, one more than Naz Reid. Things could change somewhat once the Timberwolves re-sign Mike Conley, but Ayo should not struggle for playing time. Unfortunately, not much has changed regarding his fantasy value. While Dosunmu is worth rostering in 14-team leagues, his value in 12-team leagues is low unless his team is shorthanded on the perimeter.

Even with his modest output on Sunday, Randle continues to provide fantasy managers with excellent value. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top-50 player in eight-cat formats, slightly lower than his season-long production. Edwards and the Timberwolves were unable to bounce back from Friday’s disappointing loss to the Pelicans, as Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers grabbed control early and never let go. Ant-Man’s final stat line was decent, but not at the level that many fantasy managers expect of him. His streak of games with at least 30 points ended at four, and Edwards will look to start a new one on Monday against the Hawks. Jackson-Davis made the most of his debut appearance for the Raptors, recording a double-double. While 16 minutes aren’t a big deal for most players, TJD met or exceeded that number just 14 times with the Warriors this season before being traded. The issue moving forward is that the Raptors were shorthanded on Sunday: Jakob Poeltl (back) was out, and Collin Murray-Boyles left the game in the first half with a thumb injury. While Jackson-Davis played well, fantasy managers should not overreact.

Back in the lineup after sitting out Thursday’s win over the Bulls, Barrett had a good afternoon against the Pacers. All that was missing from his stat line was a blocked shot. Unfortunately, Barrett’s fantasy value has tailed off after a hot start to the season. But, in fairness to him, there may have been too much expected of Barrett in terms of fantasy value. While days like Sunday are certainly possible, Carter is a better option in points leagues than category leagues.

With Jakob Poeltl (back) still out and Collin Murray-Boyles exiting before halftime after aggravating his left thumb injury, the Raptors needed a bit more from Mamukelashvili on Sunday. As has been the case multiple times this season, Mamu stepped up, and he’s scored at least 14 points in four consecutive games. Poeltl is getting closer to a return, but it’s challenging to envision a scenario in which Mamukelashvili falls off the radar entirely. He’s played that well in his first season in Toronto.

The Raptors grabbed control of Sunday’s game with a dominant third quarter, and Barnes led the way. Poeltl, who has not appeared in a game since December, has been plagued by a lower back injury since training camp. With the 7-footer going through practice on Saturday, there’s a chance that he plays on Sunday against the Pacers. Given the time that Poeltl has missed, conditioning is a concern. All that was missing from Murray-Boyles’ stat line on Thursday was a three-pointer, and that isn’t a category where he usually provides value. The rookie forward/center did appear to tweak his left thumb during the victory, but he remained in the game. Afterward, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said that the protective wrap will stay on Murray-Boyles’ left thumb for another five weeks. The only concern for fantasy managers is what happens when Jakob Poeltl (back) returns, as he could be back before the All-Star break. The 57th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Jackson-Davis’ playing time decreased in each of his three seasons with the Warriors. He was essentially passed in the rotation by Quinten Post, a second-round pick in the 2024 draft. Jackson-Davis appeared in 36 games this season, averaging 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.1 minutes. This transaction is unlikely to affect fantasy basketball, as the Raptors added a frontcourt player in last summer’s draft lottery (Collin Murray-Boyles) and in free agency (Sandro Mamukelashvili).
