A season-high 38 minutes allowed Filipowski to produce some of his best work of the season. In his minutes, efficient shooting both inside and outside the arc helped him set a new high in points on the season, which was only the third-most on the Mavs on Monday. Lauri Markkanen was great against the Mavs on Monday. He dominated the glass, tied a season-high in assists, and set a new season-high in steals, all while finishing as one of two Jazz players to score at least 30 points. George was electric in the overtime thriller on Monday. On the heels of a career-high 39-point game, he logged a nearly identical line against the Mavericks — he drained five three-pointers, made double-digit free throws, and pitched in as a facilitator and rebounder. The rookie bounced back from a zero-point outing against the Nets recently by logging his third double-double of December. Nembhard led the Mavericks in assists and was one of four on the team to score at least 10 points. Nembhard has had a nice rookie season to this point and should continue to improve going forward.

Washington filled the scoring and rebounding void that Anthony Davis (calf) left behind on Monday in his absence. The veteran forward produced mostly inside the arc en route to his first 20-point game of December, with his double-digit rebounds leading to double-double No. 3 on the season. His scoring total was second on the team behind Cooper Flagg’s 42 points, with the two combining for over half of the Mavericks’ points in the loss. Washington has had a good year, but his production has reached another level recently when Davis hasn’t been in uniform. If Davis is out again on Thursday against Detroit, expect Washington to put up good numbers.

Flagg made history on Monday in Salt Lake City, becoming the first 18-year-old player to score 40 points in an NBA game. He got there with efficient shooting and lots of production from the charity stripe, but just as impressively, he was able to impact the game as a rebounder, passer, and defender. The career-high scoring total wasn’t enough to give the Mavericks a third straight win. However, Flagg continues to make strides as his rookie season progresses. He’ll have a chance to be productive again on Thursday against the Pistons.

With Memphis playing Friday’s game without its best rebounder, Zach Edey, this was an excellent opportunity for Nurkić to put up a high number in the rebounds category. His 17 boards matched the veteran center’s season-high, and he finished with his sixth double-double. While Nurkić’s fantasy value is ranked outside the top-200 over the last two weeks, he’s a helpful option for managers needing rebounds. Back in the lineup after sitting out Sunday’s blowout loss to the Thunder, Markkanen helped Utah end its five-game losing streak to the Grizzlies. In his last three games entering Friday, Love totaled 18 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field. Simply put, no one outside of the Jazz locker room expected the veteran forward to be as productive as he was in Memphis. Love recorded a season-high point total and matched his previous high in three-pointers. As fun as it was to watch him put on an offensive clinic while also grabbing eight rebounds, one game does not make Love a player worth rostering in most fantasy leagues. George was rolling during the first half of Friday’s game, scoring 27 points. While a combination of improved defending from the Grizzlies and foul trouble conspired to keep the guard scoreless in the third quarter, he would finish with a career-high 39 points. A double-digit scorer in three straight games, Clayton finished Sunday’s defeat with career-highs in points and assists. With Keyonte George (8/5/3/0/1) struggling and Isaiah Collier (one assist) only playing six minutes, it was Clayton’s show for most of the second half.
