Collier is ready to make his season debut, though it’s yet unknown what Utah’s rotation will look like with the second-year man back in the fold. Collier may send Svi Mykhailiuk back to the bench and join the starting lineup, as Keyonte George may have played well enough to continue running with the first unit. Walter Clayton Jr. will find it even more difficult to get on the court now.

One game removed from reaching double figures for the first time, Dunn established a new season-high point total on Sunday. The second-year forward’s fantasy ceiling is limited due to his offensive production, but he’s still offering top-100 value in nine-cat formats. The eventual returns of Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks don’t bode well for Dunn’s rest-of-season ceiling, but the floor should remain relatively high.

Allen continues to flourish in Jalen Green’s absence. Counting Sunday’s performance, he’s reached double figures in all seven games the Suns have played. Allen’s overall production has been good for seventh-round value in nine-cat formats, ranking just outside the top-75. With Green having played 5-on-5 the last two days, his return may not be far away. However, fantasy managers should not view Allen as an automatic drop, due to how well he’s played.

While Booker’s streak of four straight 30-point games ended on Sunday, he did record his second points/assists double-double. The 13 dimes were the most in a game for the Suns star since March 14, when he hit that number against the Kings. With Jalen Green yet to make his Suns debut and Dillon Brooks out with a groin injury, Booker has found himself in a position similar to what happened far too often in previous seasons, having to shoulder even more of the offensive workload to compensate for missing “sidekicks.” Phoenix plays three games during Week 3, starting with the Warriors on Tuesday.

Hendricks got his first start of the season and ended up being one of Utah’s most productive players. The third-year forward was one of three Jazz players to score in double figures on Sunday, and he was the only starter to shoot at least 50.0 percent from the field. Hendricks also attacked the offensive glass hard in his 25 minutes and made contributions from beyond the arc. He performed well in his first start and could be a name to highlight and remember for later in the fantasy season.

George’s hot start to the season continued on Sunday, as he scored at least 25 points for the third time this season and notched at least seven assists for the sixth time. The third-year guard also logged one of his more efficient shooting performances of the season, despite remaining cold from beyond the arc. The three-point shot continues to be one of the few negatives on the season for George, but if he can even land the mediocre efficiency that he produced over the first two seasons of his career, he’ll become even more valuable in fantasy leagues.

Markannen’s four-game streak of at least 30 points came to an end on Sunday, with inefficient shooting from deep and low volume from the free-throw line being some of the biggest factors. Sunday’s outing also marked his lowest field goal percentage of the young season. Still, the veteran forward logged a team-high in points and was one of two players to record more than 20 points. He’s off to a tremendous start to the season and is showing that his lower production last season may be more of an anomaly than anything else.

Neither player’s production has jumped off the page from a fantasy basketball standpoint yet this season, but with starters’ minutes, they could be interesting streaming options as the Jazz look to snap a two-game losing streak. Nurkic, in particular, could be on double-double watch — he’s averaging 7.8 points and 7.6 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game.

Making his first official appearance for the Jazz, Anderson logged 25 minutes. Given Utah’s youth, that was surprising to say the least. Anderson’s playing time came at the expense of Kyle Filipowski (two points, two rebounds and one assist in 10 minutes), who played the first eight minutes and did not return until the outcome was no longer in doubt. The minutes split was an eye-opening development given Filipowski’s ceiling, especially when compared to Anderson’s. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) having recently been cleared for full on-court participation, it’s only a matter of time until he’s recalled from the G League. However, George has played well enough to retain the starting point guard job, even with Friday’s cold shooting night against the Suns. He was active on the boards and dished out nine assists while committing three turnovers. Despite averaging four turnovers per game, George provides top-50 value in nine-cat formats. If anyone’s going to lose out on minutes when Collier returns, it’s more likely to be Walter Clayton Jr., who only played eight minutes on Friday, than George.

While Kessler did his usual work on the glass Friday night, his offensive production was underwhelming. He’s had two offensive duds, the first being a three-point effort against the Kings on October 24. The good news is that Kessler scored 18 or more in his other three outings, taking tangible steps forward on that end of the floor. He didn’t get the contract extension he wanted before the season began, but things could get expensive for the Jazz next summer if Kessler can build on his first five games.

While he didn’t provide any defensive production on Friday, fantasy managers don’t roster Markkanen for that reason. It’s the offense, and he’s been on fire to start the season. “The Finnisher” has 32 points or more in four straight games, including a 51-point effort against the Suns on Monday. Markkanen attempted 12 fewer shots on Friday than in the first matchup between the teams, but still dropped 30-plus. Sunday’s matchup with the Hornets could be good for him, as Charlotte is 26th in defensive rating.

After scoring nine points or less in Phoenix’s first five games, Dunn cracked double figures on Friday. He also matched his career-high in rebounds, notching his fourth career double-double. Dunn is lurking just outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats, but the limited scoring and low free-throw percentage lower his ceiling. Booker put on a show on Friday, leading the Suns to their first win in NBA Cup group play. While he didn’t record any defensive stats, the offensive production was excellent, with the Suns guard finishing an assist shy of his second 30-point double-double. Williams made his first start of the season on Wednesday, and all that was missing from his final stat line was a three-pointer. He shot the ball well from the field and was active as a rebounder and defender. Some fantasy managers were unwilling to roll the dice on Williams due to his injury history, as he’s yet to play 50 games in a season. Not on the radar for many fantasy managers during draft season, Gillespie has emerged as a reputable deep-league option. Booker was 10-of-26 from the field on Wednesday, but an 11-of-26 night would have meant a Suns victory. His three-pointer just before time expired missed the mark, dropping Phoenix to 1-4 on the season. Thus far, Booker is ranked outside the top-100 in nine-cat formats, with turnovers being the issue. Booker has only averaged four or more turnovers per game once in his career, so fantasy managers should not be too concerned.

Is Kessler going through a Brook Lopez-like transformation right before our eyes? Probably not, but the increased confidence in his perimeter shot has been great to see. On Wednesday, Kessler shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and is 6-of-8 on the season. In 2024-25, he shot 6-of-34 from deep and entered this season 11-of-56. Add in the points, rebounds, defensive stats and improved assists, and Kessler has been a top-15 player in nine-cat formats thus far. Will he remain there? Who knows. Based on his hot start, fantasy managers who decided to pass on Markkanen in drafts due to late-season tanking concerns may regret their choices. He’s scored 30 points or more in three straight games, a feat he did not accomplish during the 2024-25 season. Wednesday’s final stat line was robust, with the 32 points being supplemented by five rebounds and six “stocks.” Through four games, Markkanen is providing top-10 fantasy value, which may prompt some managers to entertain the possibility of selling high.
