The Cavaliers are without Donovan Mitchell (illness) for Friday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. While De’Andre Hunter has made starts in the past, it will be Proctor who receives the nod against the Bulls. While the rookie has not provided much fantasy value this season, the opportunity will be there for him to change that on Friday.

After coming off the bench in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Hornets, Tyson was inserted back into the Cavaliers’ starting lineup. That was good news for fantasy managers, and the second-year wing responded with a complete stat line and his third 20-point game of the season. De’Andre Hunter (12/5/1 with two three-pointers) doesn’t offer a similar ceiling, whether you’re talking “real” or fantasy basketball. And based on the pregame reports, Tyson should be in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. Providing top-100 value in eight-cat formats, he’s rostered in just 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Grab him if he’s sitting on your league’s waiver wire.

After playing 22 minutes in his first game back from a finger injury on Sunday, Allen logged 28 minutes against the Bulls and was more productive overall. With Evan Mobley (calf) out for a few weeks, there should be more room for Allen to operate in the post. However, he attempted only nine shots against the Bulls, and the volume could prove problematic. With Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland commanding the ball, Allen’s ceiling isn’t as high since he rarely looks to do anything scoring-wise from outside of 15 feet.

Garland continues to struggle with his shot, and that has negatively impacted his fantasy value. After Wednesday’s defeat, he’s shooting 36.3 percent from the field, which would be the lowest percentage of his NBA career by a sizable margin (previous low was 40.1 percent as a rookie). Add in the lack of defensive stats, and Garland has been one of the more disappointing guards in fantasy basketball this season. There’s still a lot of basketball to be played; hopefully, he can start the turnaround on Friday when the Cavs host the Bulls.

The Cavaliers continue to underwhelm, with Mitchell’s gaudy point total being one of the few bright spots on Wednesday. He’s scored at least 30 points in 15 of the 26 games he has played this season, one reason why Spida is providing top-10 per-game value in eight-cat formats. While injuries have left the Cavaliers shorthanded, inconsistent play has also been an issue. Mitchell has been left to shoulder a heavier workload. While that has benefited those who have him rostered, it isn’t the best approach for a team that fashions itself as a title contender.

The struggling Cavaliers have made a change to their starting lineup, and it will hold for the foreseeable future. Tyson, a second-year wing who has been one of the biggest surprises in fantasy basketball, returns to the starting lineup with De’Ander Hunter being bumped to the bench. It was an off-night for Cleveland’s primary catalyst as Mitchell went just 1-of-10 from three-point range during regulation and missed a potential game-winning jumper at the buzzer. Carrington was ice-cold from the floor — draining just 4-of-11 shots, including 2-of-7 from three-point range — on the heels of a stellar all-around performance during Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers where he delivered 27 points, six rebounds and eight assists. The 20-year-old upstart has emerged as a viable option in deeper fantasy leagues over the past week, averaging 19 points, 6.5 rebounds and one steal over his past two games. George’s three-point production against the Cavaliers led to him tallying 15 points for the third straight game. He was the most productive player on the team during his 41 minutes of game action, highlighted by the five threes he tallied. McCollum was one of two Wizards players to score over 25 points in the loss. He shot efficiently en route to nearly tallying 30 points, but also contributed as a facilitator in the process. Even with the Wizards’ struggles this season, the veteran guard is still finding ways to produce. His scoring numbers are as low as they’ve been since his sophomore season, but not far off his 21.1/ 3.8/ 4.1 splits last season. He’ll remain a focal point of the Wizards’ offense so long as he’s in the lineup.

The Cavaliers got back in the win column on Friday behind Mitchell’s highest scoring performance of the season. The veteran combo guard got up over 30 shot attempts for the first time this season, which he converted efficiently en route to a near 50-point performance. He used the three-point shot to his advantage and, despite the high volume of shots, he made at least a little bit of impact as a facilitator along the way. Mitchell has been on a tear lately, scoring 40 or more points in three of his last seven games and nailing at least seven threes in each of said games. He will look to stay hot against the Hornets on Sunday.

While he wasn’t his usual efficient self from a shotmaking perspective, Mobley was quite impactful on the offensive end. He produced both inside and outside the arc en route to finishing with 20 or more points for the 12th time this season, and tied a team-high in assists, as well. Mobley didn’t produce any counting stats on the defensive end, which is rare for him, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. Nonetheless, he put forth some strong production from a fantasy standpoint and continues to put up solid numbers overall.

CLE • Point Guard and Shooting Guard • #10

Garland was as efficient as one could be inside the arc, shooting 6-of-6 on two-point shots, but his 0-of-11 shooting from deep left him completely unimpactful from behind the line. Yet, even with the shooting struggles, Garland was one of the Cavaliers’ highest scorers on the evening and concluded with a share of the most assists. Surely, fantasy managers will want more production from Garland going forward, but they must remain patient in the early stages of the season as he continues to work his way back from offseason toe surgery.
