Caldwell-Pope exited Friday’s loss to the Thunder with a jaw injury suffered during the second quarter and did not return. His absence from the injury report means that he’ll play rotation minutes off the bench, but this will not affect fantasy basketball.

Caldwell-Pope injured his jaw during the second quarter of Friday’s game, exiting with just over four minutes remaining in the period. Due to injuries, the Grizzlies will go with a nine-man rotation for the rest of the game.

Back in the rotation after sitting out Tuesday’s overtime loss to the 76ers, Caldwell-Pope enjoyed one of his best games of the season. A double-digit scorer in six of his last seven appearances, the veteran guard recorded his first 20-point game of the season on Friday. All that Caldwell-Pope’s stat line lacked was a blocked shot. However, despite how well he played against one of his former teams, KCP is not worth the risk in most leagues. Unless there’s a dire need for a “Hail Mary” on Sunday, there’s no need to pick him up ahead of the rematch with the Lakers to end Week 11.

After a one-game absence, Caldwell-Pope is available to play. The veteran guard will handle his usual reserve duties, where there isn’t much fantasy value to be gained.

Caldwell-Pope is on track to return after sitting out Tuesday’s loss to the 76ers. This would likely result in fewer minutes for GG Jackson, who logged 23 against Philadelphia. Neither player has done enough to affect fantasy basketball this season.

Caldwell-Pope missed Memphis’ most recent game, an overtime loss to the 76ers on Tuesday. His absence factored into GG Jackson playing 23 minutes off the bench. If KCP remains out, Jackson should surpass 20 minutes, but he is not worth the risk in most fantasy leagues.

Caldwell-Pope was forced to leave Sunday’s loss to the Wizards after playing 11 minutes with a sore right hamstring. He won’t play on Tuesday, freeing up additional minutes for fellow reserve GG Jackson. Olivier-Maxence Prosper could also be in the rotation, but the Grizzlies may send him to their G League affiliate instead.

After playing 11 first-half minutes, Caldwell-Pope is unlikely to return due to a sore right hamstring. His absence will likely mean more minutes for Cam Spencer and GG Jackson, with the former already offering value as Ja Morant’s backup.

Caldwell-Pope’s five three-pointers were a season-high for the veteran guard, who also matched his high point total on Tuesday. While capable of providing a few three-pointers off the bench, that isn’t enough to make KCP a player worth rostering on most nights. Even with Monday’s showing, leave Caldwell-Pope on the waiver wire.

KCP exited early from Wednesday’s game, but the elbow injury won’t keep him sidelined against Cleveland. KCP should occupy his typical spot in the starting lineup.

Caldwell-Pope’s night has ended prematurely due to a sore right elbow. He played 19 minutes, going scoreless (0-of-3 FGs) with three rebounds, three assists and one steal. KCP’s absence should result in more playing time for rookie Cedric Coward, who has been Memphis’ best performer this season in terms of fantasy value. He’ll be an even more popular fantasy add if Caldwell-Pope misses time.

KCP was initially listed as questionable, but he’ll be available to start in his usual spot. That means Cedric Coward will remain in a reserve role after having a productive debut. KCP had 15 points in 31 minutes as a starter on Wednesday.

KCP got the start in the season opener, but there is a chance he is sidelined for his second game in Memphis. If that happens, rookie Cedric Coward would have a chance to slide into the starting lineup. Coward, who posted a 14/3/1/2/1 line in his debut, would be an enticing streaming option if KCP is out.

Sent to Memphis as part of the Desmond Bane trade to Orlando, Caldwell-Pope should easily slot into the Grizzlies’ starting lineup. The question is whether he can bounce back from a rough 2024-25 season, which would give him a chance of offering deep-league value. Last season, Caldwell-Pope shot 34.2 percent from beyond the arc, his worst percentage since 2015-16 with the Pistons (30.9 percent). The Grizzlies must replace Bane’s shooting, and Caldwell-Pope will have every opportunity to step up. That can also be said for Jaylen Wells, who shot 3-of-8 from three on Monday and finished with nine points and three assists.

After one season with the Magic, Caldwell-Pope is on the move. He’s been traded to the Grizzlies, but the veteran guard will likely be a starter in his new home. Caldwell-Pope was signed by the Magic last summer for his 3-and-D abilities, but he struggled with his shot. In 77 appearances, he shot 34.2 percent from three on 4.3 attempts per game. The percentage was Caldwell-Pope’s worst since 2015-16, when he shot 30.9 percent from three as a member of the Pistons. Playing alongside Ja Morant could result in cleaner looks for KCP if he’s inserted into the starting lineup, as Orlando lacked a consistent playmaker at the point. From a fantasy standpoint, he’ll be a late-round pick at best in standard leagues.

Caldwell-Pope had a brutal series, scoring no more than eight points in any of the five games. The veteran wing shot 6-of-23 from beyond the arc, which isn’t good enough for a team that lacked consistent scorers beyond Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. Signed last summer with the hope that he could be a veteran voice who could also provide 3-and-D value, Caldwell-Pope underwhelmed in his first season with the Magic. He finished the regular season ranked outside the top-150 in eight- and nine-cat formats in category leagues, but KCP was close to a top-100 option in points leagues. At best, he’ll be worthy of late-round consideration in 12-team leagues next fall.

Caldwell-Pope is on a heater from deep, having shot 10-of-12 from beyond the arc in his last two games. Tuesday’s three-point tally of seven was a season-high, surpassing the six he made in a November 27 win over the Bulls. The issue is that Caldwell-Pope does not provide much value outside of points and three-pointers; he’s a liability in fantasy leagues when those shots aren’t falling. Over the past two weeks, KCP has provided 10th-round value in nine-cat formats, four rounds better than his season-long production.

Caldwell-Pope will be available on Sunday after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Timberwolves. His return will push Tristan da Silva to the bench, with the rookie not being an impactful player in fantasy leagues when used in a reserve role.

After doing little in Monday’s loss to the Rockets, Caldwell-Pope was more active three nights later in a win over the Pelicans. Due to the 32 minutes played in New Orleans, the veteran guard is questionable for Friday night. If Caldwell-Pope does not play, Tristan da Silva and Caleb Houstan will figure more prominently within the rotation. Da Silva, a starter earlier this season when Franz Wagner was out, offers a higher ceiling for fantasy managers seeking a streamer.

KCP didn’t even attempt a shot in this game. The lone rebound kept this from being a true Tony Snell performance, but it was still a rather disappointing night for fantasy managers. Caldwell-Pope hasn’t played a significant offensive role this season, and this was an incredibly low-scoring game for Orlando. However, this was the first time that he didn’t get a shot attempt. Managers shouldn’t expect this quiet of a performance from KCP often.
