Small was available for Friday’s loss to the Jazz, but he received a DNP-CD on a night when Memphis played just six players. Even if he’s made available for Sunday, there’s no guarantee that the two-way guard gets onto the court.

Memphis will be without Walter Clayton Jr., Cam Spencer and Ty Jerome for this game, which means Small should be the primary point guard option for this game. He’ll return from a three-game absence and should see a hefty workload.

Small has missed the Grizzlies’ last three games with a thigh contusion. Given how shorthanded the Grizzlies are, he should play significant minutes if available on Friday. Lucas Williamson has provided depth on the perimeter recently, and he’ll remain in the rotation if Small plays.

Wednesday’s game will be the third that Small has missed due to a left thigh contusion. With Ty Jerome and Cam Spencer also out, Walter Clayton Jr., Dariq Whitehead and Lucas Williamson should play plenty against the Nuggets.

Small joins the long list of Grizzlies guards who will not be available for Sunday’s game. If Walter Clayton Jr. (hip) can play after sitting out Friday’s loss to the Raptors, he’s likely to be the starting point guard. If not, Dariq Whitehead and Lucas Williamson may have to fill the void. There’s no need to stream either of them in that scenario.

Small struggled from beyond the arc on Friday but used strong two-point scoring to work his way into double figures as a scorer. The rookie guard also made an impact on the glass in his 27 minutes during the blowout loss. Small has proven himself to be a quality lead guard following the All-Star Break. He’ll have a chance to put up another solid line against the Bucks on Sunday.

Inactive for Monday’s loss to the Suns, Small was inserted into the Grizzlies’ starting lineup on Wednesday. While he did shoot the ball well, the overall impact was somewhat muted. Cam Spencer (10/1/8/1 with one three-pointer) and Walter Clayton Jr. (10/1/5 with two three-pointers) are under standard contracts while Small remains on a two-way deal, making them safer options for managers considering which to add off the waiver wire.

The Grizzlies made two changes to their starting lineup, with Small being made active and Prosper returning after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Suns. Taylor Hendricks is out, opening a spot for Prosper, while Small’s return pushes Jahmai Mashack to the bench.

Small, who has started the Grizzlies’ last three games, was limited to 15 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Bulls. Cam Spencer is off the injury report and would figure prominently in the rotation if Small sits. Walter Clayton Jr., who is questionable, would be another option at the point if available.

Small will return Wednesday from a one-game absence as the Grizzlies try to avoid a fourth consecutive loss. Since February, the rookie guard has become one of Memphis’ most consistent performers, offering scoring, playmaking, three-point production, and steals in his elevated role. He’s averaging 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.9 three-pointers in 25.2 minutes per game during March.

Small missed Monday’s game against Atlanta, but he could be back to take on San Antonio. Ty Jerome (ankle) is out, but Cam Spencer (personal) will be back. Small should start if he suits up, though he will have to split minutes with Walter Clayton Jr. and Spencer.

Small was initially listed as questionable due to lower back soreness and was subsequently ruled out for Monday’s game against the Hawks. The 23-year-old point guard’s absence could mean more minutes for Walter Clayton Jr. and Rayan Rupert.

Small is dealing with lower back soreness, and it could keep him sidelined against Atlanta. With Cedric Coward (personal) still out and Memphis’ backcourt banged up, Small’s absence could mean more playing time for Walter Clayton Jr. and Rayan Rupert.

While Small was responsible for five of the Grizzlies’ 13 turnovers, he provided solid value in multiple categories, including points, rebounds, assists and three-pointers. While Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) being out for the season means there’s one less option to play rotation minutes, Small still being on a two-way contract means that he isn’t guaranteed to be available every night. At this point, he’s most useful on nights like Saturday when Ty Jerome (calf) is also out.

Small was one of Memphis’ most productive players on Thursday. He fell just one point and one assist shy of a 20/10 double-double, and also finished as one of the Grizzlies’ most reliable three-point shooters on the evening. The rookie guard is now averaging 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over his last three games. He’ll have a chance to land another strong performance on Friday against the Pistons.

With Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. sitting out Monday’s game, Small made his fourth start of the season in Brooklyn. And this was his most productive game as a starter, with the final stat line only lacking a blocked shot. Like Rayan Rupert, Small is on a two-way deal, so he isn’t guaranteed to be active every night. However, he’ll be worth a roll of the dice on nights when Jerome and Pippen don’t play.

Small, the 48th overall pick in last June’s draft, made his first career start on Wednesday. And the Grizzlies’ guard had a good night, shooting 75 percent from the field and not committing any turnovers in his 28 minutes. Having appeared in 24 games, Small should have the space needed to avoid running up against the 50-game limit for two-way players before the end of the season. There are better options for fantasy managers, most notably Ty Jerome, but Small is worth watching for dynasty league managers seeking some value in deep leagues.

Jerome is back after sitting out Monday’s loss to the Kings, and his return pushes Cam Spencer to the bench. The other change to the lineup is Small, who steps in for Scotty Pippen Jr. Spencer and Pippen will still play quality minutes off the bench, but their fantasy values do take a hit.

Due to the Grizzlies being light on perimeter bodies, Saturday was a night where Small was able to get an extended runout. And the rookie guard took advantage of his time, shooting 70 percent from the field and providing solid value in the rebound and assist categories. Small played a lot of his minutes alongside Walter Clayton Jr. (8/4/7/3 in 28 minutes) in Memphis’ two games in Portland, and that may be the case moving forward on nights when the two-way guard is active. Small isn’t a must-roster player, but he may have moments when he’s worth streaming as the Grizzlies rebuild.

The second-round pick had a couple of strong outings in October but was then sidelined for a while with a toe injury. With Ja Morant (calf) sidelined, he has been able to fill out the backup point guard minutes. That hadn’t led to much production until this game. Small isn’t worth adding in redraft leagues as long as Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. are healthy, but he should be stashed in dynasty leagues.

Small has been sidelined since early November but will be available to provide much-needed depth in the backcourt. He likely won’t play big minutes, but with Ja Morant sidelined, he should see an opportunity off the bench behind Cam Spencer.

Small suffered a turf toe injury in his left foot while playing for the Grizzlies’ G League affiliate in early November and has not played since. The updated timeline provided by the team gives him a shot at playing in early January. Whether Small’s availability affects fantasy basketball depends on the availability of Ja Morant, Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. And with Vince Williams Jr. and Cam Spencer being the point guard rotation with those three out, Small is unlikely to get the opportunities needed to affect fantasy basketball.

Small initially suffered a turf toe injury in his left foot in a November 8 G League game between the Memphis Hustle and Mexico City Capitanes and has not played since. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, especially with starting point guard Ja Morant being healthy. Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. have shared the backup responsibilities, and that will remain the case until Ty Jerome returns from injury.

Since Ja Morant and Cam Spencer are available, Small’s absence will not impact the Grizzlies’ rotation or fantasy basketball. He should already be on the waiver wire in all leagues.
