In the five games he played after being moved out of the starting lineup, Williams averaged 8.6 points while shooting 32.6 percent from the field. He had no such issues on Saturday, with the 20 points the most the Mavericks guard has scored in a game since October 29. Saturday’s performance won’t be enough to get Williams back on the radar in most fantasy leagues, as Ryan Nembhard continues to start. But he is worth keeping an eye on, as Williams appears to be locked into the backup role ahead of D’Angelo Russell.

Back in the lineup after a four-game absence, Washington recorded one of his best all-around lines of the season. While the scoring was modest, he did a good job on the glass and matched his career-high with five steals. However, this was Washington’s second game this season with more than two steals, so fantasy managers should not expect Saturday’s performance to become the norm. And Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd’s decision to stick with Naji Marshall (15/2/2/1 with one three-pointer) was good news for those who turned to him while Washington was out.

Flagg finished Saturday’s victory with a complete stat line, and his fantasy value continues to improve after a slow start to his rookie campaign. Over the past two weeks, the forward has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. In addition to him getting more comfortable, Flagg has seemingly benefited from some solidity at the point guard position, with fellow rookie Ryan Nembhard (11/1/7/1 with one three-pointer) making the job his own recently.

Davis finished Saturday’s game with a stat line on par with what many have expected of him, but injuries have been a disappointing issue for him. However, he did play both games of this Friday/Saturday back-to-back, which is immense, given Davis’ struggles to stay healthy. Dallas only plays once during Week 8, which will give Davis and his teammates some time to get healthier.

Washington is back after a four-game absence, but his presence in the starting lineup does not come at Marshall’s expense. Instead, it will be Max Christie who heads to the bench after starting 21 consecutive games. While he will remain in the rotation, Christie’s already-low fantasy ceiling takes a hit with the change.

Washington is available after a four-game absence with a sprained right ankle. If he starts, Naji Marshall will be pushed to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a slight hit. That said, Marshall should still play plenty due to injuries to other Mavericks players.

Gafford was initially doubtful for Saturday night, so the downgrade in status was expected. Anthony Davis will once again handle most of the available minutes at the center position, with Dwight Powell serving as his primary backup.

While Thompson’s production has improved recently, he has primarily been a deep-league option for those needing three-pointers. His absence will likely result in more minutes for Jaden Hardy, who can be a bit of a wild card offensively. Feel free to leave him on the waiver wire.

Washington has missed the last four games with a right ankle sprain. His status is up in the air for Saturday against the Rockets given his questionable listing. Naji Marshall would fill in again if Washington is ruled out and is worth rostering in deep leagues while Washington is sidelined.

Gafford injured his ankle against the Heat on Wednesday and subsequently missed Friday’s game against the Thunder. He’s unlikely to return Saturday given his doubtful listing. Anthony Davis is off the injury report, though, and should handle the majority of the center minutes for Dallas.

Hardy came off the bench and notched his best scoring performance of the season. All of his production came in the second half once the score was lopsided and in favor of the Thunder. Still, he shot well in his 20 minutes of game action, particularly from beyond the arc, and finished as the Mavericks’ leading scorer on the evening. Regardless of Hardy’s strong outing on Friday, he’s not a player fantasy managers should be keeping tabs on at the moment.

A one-sided loss limited the 2025 first-overall pick to under 30 minutes of game action on Friday for the first time since mid-November. He shot poorly from beyond the arc and fell short of the 20-point mark, ending his streak of such games at three. Still, Flagg shot fairly well overall on relatively low volume and was one of Dallas’ best scorers on the evening. His impact elsewhere was minimal.

Davis had his worst performance of the season on Friday. In 24 minutes, he tallied more assists than he did points, and contributed just one made shot on the evening before finishing as the only Mavericks starter to score in single digits. His lone impact from a fantasy basketball standpoint came as a facilitator, where he notched a season-high in assists. It was otherwise a performance the veteran center will hope to quickly move on from. He’ll have a chance to bounce back against the Rockets on Saturday, should he be available to play.

Gafford left Wednesday’s game against the Heat in the second half with an ankle injury. Anthony Davis started at center Wednesday and will continue to do so in Gafford’s absence. Dwight Powell could see rotation minutes, but isn’t worth considering as a fantasy basketball streamer.

Washington has missed Dallas’ last three games with a sprained right ankle, resulting in Naji Marshall being moved into the starting lineup. That would remain the case if Washington misses a fourth straight, and Marshall is worth rostering in deep leagues.

Gafford exited Wednesday’s win over the Heat during the third quarter, resulting in Anthony Davis spending more time at the center position. Davis started at the five on Wednesday, and that will likely remain the case regardless of Gafford’s availability. Dwight Powell could potentially enter the rotation if Gafford sits, but this does not affect fantasy basketball.

Lively has been sidelined since November 21 and has no concrete return timeline. With the third-year center still dealing with discomfort and swelling in his right foot, he should be considered out indefinitely until the Mavericks announce otherwise. Fantasy managers who can afford to do so should continue to stash Lively in an IL+ slot. However, those dealing with multiple injuries may need to move on due to the uncertainty.

How Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd chooses to handle his point guard rotation has been unpredictable for most of this season. However, he may have found his answer in Nembhard. After dishing out ten assists in Monday’s win over the Nuggets, the rookie established a new season-high with 13 on Wednesday, and he only committed one turnover. In four starts, Nembhard has 30 assists and five turnovers. While Brandon Williams (7/2/2 in 14 minutes) and D’Angelo Russell (10/3/2 with two three-pointers in 15 minutes) played rotation minutes off the bench, Nembhard logged 34 as the starter. He’s worth rolling the dice on, especially with the Mavericks having two more games on their Week 7 schedule.

While his overall field-goal percentage wasn’t great, Thompson knocked down another five three-pointers on Wednesday. Since shooting 1-of-7 from deep in the Mavericks’ November 21 win over the Pelicans, the veteran guard/forward has made at least three three-pointers in six straight games. Thompson’s overall fantasy value remains low, but his recent run from three (3.9 three-pointers per game over the past two weeks) gives him some value in deep category leagues.

Davis didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, and his injured right ring finger may be an issue. That said, he still shot 50 percent from three and was highly impactful as a rebounder and shot-blocker. And with Daniel Gafford (ankle) exiting Wednesday’s game during the second half, the Mavericks may need Davis to spend more time at the center position than he may prefer. Just as concerning as Davis’ finger is the schedule, as the Mavericks end Week 7 with a back-to-back. He did not play both games of Dallas’ most recent back-to-back (November 28-29).

Flagg extended his streak of games with at least 20 points to three with another solid performance on Wednesday. Over the past two weeks, the rookie forward has provided top-50 value in eight-cat formats. Flagg started slowly, but he’s picked up the production by the game, most recently earning Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors. Given Dallas’ many injuries, Flagg will be asked to do a lot, even if his days as a point guard seem to be over.

Gafford continues to attempt to play through a lingering right ankle injury. Unfortunately, he had to leave Wednesday’s game during the third quarter and has since been ruled out for the rest of the night. With Dallas’ Week 7 slate concluding with a Friday/Saturday back-to-back, the few who have Gafford rostered should anticipate him missing at least one of those games. With Dereck Lively also out, that means more Anthony Davis at the center position as long as he’s able to play back-to-backs, which may not be the case.

Gafford is available after a two-game absence, giving the Mavericks a welcome infusion of depth in the frontcourt. He may start alongside Anthony Davis, which would shift AD to the four. If so, Naji Marshall could be the odd man out after filling in for P.J. Washington the last two games. However, Gafford’s playing time will be limited, so he’s more likely to come off the bench.

Washington will miss a third straight game after spraining his right ankle ahead of Saturday’s win over the Clippers. Naji Marshall has been the replacement in the starting lineup, which has raised his fantasy ceiling. At a minimum, he should already be rostered in 14-team leagues. If not, pick him up.

Gafford has missed the Mavericks’ last two games, leading to Anthony Davis serving as the starting center in Monday’s win over the Nuggets. Dwight Powell served as Davis’ backup in Denver, and that would likely remain the case if Gafford can’t play against Miami. Powell is not worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Washington has missed Dallas’ last two games with a sprained right ankle, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Naji Marshall. Marshall has offered solid late-round value this season, due in part to the many injuries that have affected the Mavericks’ rotation. He’s worth holding onto for the time being, even if Washington plays.

The 2025 first-overall selection picked up where he left off following his career-best scoring performance against the Clippers. While he didn’t reach the 30-point mark, Flagg picked his spots and made more than half of his attempts en route to securing his seventh 20-point game of the season. The rookie forward seems to be progressing nicely a quarter of the way through the season. Fantasy managers should expect Flagg to continue playing well as he gets more game experience under his belt.

In the third start of his rookie season, Nembhard once again provided the Mavericks with impact on the offensive end. Efficient shooting led the former Gonzaga Bulldog past the 20-point mark and to a new career-high, as he was one of three Mavericks to score at least 24 points on Monday. Additionally, the rookie guard was as impressive as a playmaker — he dished out double-digit assists, leading to the first double-double of his young NBA career. Nembhard is averaging 17.7 points over his three starts and will likely remain in the opening unit for a Mavericks team that has needed quality point guard play.

Davis reached the 30-point mark for the first time all season on Monday, needing 32 minutes of game action to do so. The scoring outburst against the Nuggets was a drastic improvement from Friday’s 12-point outing against the Lakers, which marked his first game back from a calf injury. Prior to the injury, AD had logged 20-point double-doubles in each of the first four games of the season. He was his usual productive self on the glass, as well, which led to his fifth double-double of the season. As his minutes start to pick back up, there’s no reason to believe Davis won’t continue to put up big numbers.
