Garcia’s home run was his second in the last three games and No. 13 on the year. The 32-year-old annihilated a solo shot off Hunter Brown in the third inning. Garcia is hitting .234 with a .683 OPS and 56 RBI on the season. While Garcia has been mentioned in trade rumors, the Rangers aren’t definitively selling just yet and may as well keep Garcia as long as he’s hitting like this and the team is within reach of the playoffs.

Ezequiel Duran will take over at first base. Burger was in Texas’ initial lineup for Sunday’s first-half finale, but he’s going to sit out his second straight game after exiting Friday’s contest with left quad discomfort. The 29-year-old slugger should be ready to roll following next week’s All-Star break.

Spoiling the shutout bid by taking Brad Keller deep in the ninth, Judge was the Yankees’ only offense today in the 5-2 loss. The one out he made was actually a 409-foot blast that would have been a homer in 24 ballparks. The actual homer was hit 388 feet to right. It was the 350th of his career, tying him with Chili Davis for 103rd place all-time. With two more, he’ll move into the top 100.
