Kranick was diagnosed with a flexor strain in his right elbow back in late June and could be facing season-ending surgery. The 27-year-old reliever is facing an extended absence, even if he opts for the rest and rehabilitation route, but it sounds like surgery is on the table. It would be a significant loss for New York’s relief depth if he’s sidelined until the late stages of the 2026 season.

Manaea will make his long-awaited season debut during Sunday’s first-half finale against the Royals piggybacking with starter Clay Holmes. The 33-year-old southpaw missed the first couple months of the season recovering from an oblique strain and several setbacks during his rehabilitation process. He was outstanding last year in his Mets debut and figures to make a significant impact for fantasy managers over the final two-plus months of the season.

Garcia’s home run was his second in the last three games and No. 13 on the year. The 32-year-old annihilated a solo shot off Hunter Brown in the third inning. Garcia is hitting .234 with a .683 OPS and 56 RBI on the season. While Garcia has been mentioned in trade rumors, the Rangers aren’t definitively selling just yet and may as well keep Garcia as long as he’s hitting like this and the team is within reach of the playoffs.

Spoiling the shutout bid by taking Brad Keller deep in the ninth, Judge was the Yankees’ only offense today in the 5-2 loss. The one out he made was actually a 409-foot blast that would have been a homer in 24 ballparks. The actual homer was hit 388 feet to right. It was the 350th of his career, tying him with Chili Davis for 103rd place all-time. With two more, he’ll move into the top 100.
