Carter has been rounding into form a bit of late. While the hits haven’t been falling, he has just one strikeout in his last five games while taking six walks, clubbing a home run, and stealing three bases. He’s just 3-for-12 over that stretch, but the plate discipline and speed are nice to see as he tries to work his way back to the Rangers’ lineup.

Duran got the scoring started in the ballgame as he roped a two-out RBI double into right field off of Aaron Civale in the third inning. The versatile 26-year-old also drew a walk in the sixth inning and doubled with two outs in the eighth, but the Rangers were unable to cash him in either time. He has struggled in his limited action overall with the Rangers this season, going 6-for-40 (.150) with zero homers, two RBI and a 13/1 K/BB ratio.

He also doubled with two outs in the seventh inning but was left stranded there. Semien has hit .354/.418/.667 in 13 June games, raising his overall line on the season to .224/.305/.336 with seven homers, 30 RBI and six stolen bases.

The 33-year-old right-hander wasn’t messing around in this one, getting Ryan Noda on a bouncer to first base, Brooks Baldwin on a swinging third strike and Josh Rojas on a fly ball to center to end it. Jackson has fallen in the pecking order for saves in the Rangers’ bullpen, but he has still made good on nine of his first 11 chances on the season and has proven to be a capable option there.

The Giants had just scored three runs to take a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning when Pages answered back with his go-ahead 399-foot (101.6 mph EV) three-run shot off of Ryan Walker in the fifth inning to put the Dodgers ahead to stay. Pages finished the evening 1-for-3 with a strikeout, though that one hit proved to be the difference in the ballgame. He has done a nice job for the Dodgers this season, slashing .281/.320/.480 with 13 long balls and 46 RBI.

As a team, the Guardians were only able to muster four hits (all singles) and one walk against Emerson Hancock and company. Thomas was the only member of the Guardians to reach base twice — with a two-out single off of Hancock in the second and a one-out walk off of the right-hander in the fifth inning. The 29-year-old outfielder has been swinging a hot bat since returning from the injured list and makes for an intriguing addition in deeper mixed leagues where he may still be available.
