Both Gusto and Mitch Spence held their opponents to a single run in this contest, so both come away without their deserved victories. The only run Gusto gave up was a solo homer to JJ Bleday, and outside of that he allowed just two other hits and one walk in one of his best starts in the majors. Gusto will look to build on this outing and continue to lower a 4.31 ERA against the Angels over the weekend.

Mitchell could return this weekend or early next week after missing nearly two months with an oblique strain. Isaac Collins, who has been playing pretty regularly in the Milwaukee outfield lately, will lose at-bats.

The Giants had just scored three runs to take a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning when Pages answered back with his go-ahead 399-foot (101.6 mph EV) three-run shot off of Ryan Walker in the fifth inning to put the Dodgers ahead to stay. Pages finished the evening 1-for-3 with a strikeout, though that one hit proved to be the difference in the ballgame. He has done a nice job for the Dodgers this season, slashing .281/.320/.480 with 13 long balls and 46 RBI.
