The Braves scored all of their runs between the sixth and eighth innings tonight, with Olson driving in runs in both frames. He’s made a big charge over the last month, hitting .308 with eight homers, 14 doubles and 31 RBI in his last 34 games to raise his OPS from .720 to .844, and he has a good case for the third All-Star appearance of his career next month.

Harris downplayed concern to reporters after Atlanta’s win at Citi Field, saying that the pitch from Mets lefty José Castillo didn’t hit any bones. It doesn’t sound like he’ll wind up missing much time, if any, due to the issue.

It’s not very often that a pitcher gets a win while giving up three more runs than an opposing starter who pitched for the same length of time, but that’s what happened tonight. Strider and Frankie Montas both pitched five innings, with the Mets leading 3-0 when they were done. However, the Braves came back with six runs in the top of the sixth to put Strider in line for the win. Strider gave up all of his runs in the fourth, when he walked three and surrendered two singles. He gave up no hits and one walk over the rest of the outing. He’ll take a three-start winning streak into his next outing against the Phillies.

After 30 games without a save, the Braves have recorded them in back-to-back games. This wasn’t supposed to be a save situation, but Enyel De Los Santos got into trouble in a 7-3 game in the ninth, giving up hits to two of the three batters he faced. Iglesias came in and allowed an RBI double with two outs before Francisco Lindor grounded out to end the game. It’s his first save since May 16. Dylan Lee, who got the final four outs Monday, is probably still the favorite for saves in Atlanta for the moment. Iglesias figures to get Tuesday off after working consecutive days.

Toglia put the first run of the game on the board with a double in the first inning to bring Hunter Goodman home from first base. He drove in a second run with another double in the third and doubled again in the fifth for his third of the game. The 26-year-old first baseman is 10-for-33 (.303) with three homers and three doubles since he was recalled from Triple-A on June 16.

It looked like this one would go to the Bombers before Encarnacion-Strand suddenly tied things up with a bases-loaded double in the seventh. The Reds made room for both CES and Santiago Espinal tonight by giving Spencer Steer just his fifth start in the outfield this season, but that’s probably not going to turn into a regular thing with Austin Hays set to return soon. The start tonight was Encarnacion-Strand’s second in five games.

Goldschmidt had sat against four of the previous seven righties the Yankees had faced, so it was a little surprising to see him get the nod against flamethrower Chase Burns tonight. It didn’t wind up working out, though we don’t know that Giancarlo Stanton would have fared any better had he been in there. Goldschmidt is now batting .244/.287/.330 against righties, compared to .408/.494/.711 against lefties.
