He’d leave with two runners on and one out. One inherited runner would come in to score. Sheehan struck out three. The 25-year-old right-hander picks up his first win over the season and holds a 2.03 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and a 13/4 K/BB ratio across 13 1/3 innings of work.

Estrada will sit out his fourth consecutive game on Saturday as he battles a lingering left thumb issue. The 29-year-old figures to avoid a trip to the injured list since he’ll get some extra time to rest and recover during next week’s All-Star break.
