The 27-year-old shortstop was struck in the ribs by a pitch during Friday night’s contest. Mauricio Dubon will start in his place at shortstop on Saturday and will bat ninth for the Astros against Cubs’ right-hander Colin Rea.

It sounds like the team plans to take a very cautious approach with their prized 22-year-old infielder and that he could wind up missing up to a month’s worth of action while recovering. Any fantasy managers that have been stashing him in redraft leagues in the hopes that he would be getting the call soon can safely cut bait.
