He drove in all three of Boston’s runs. He also had the only extra-base hits by either team in the contest. The double down the right-field line in the sixth, which knocked in two runs, would have been a homer in 11 parks. Story is batting .308/.328/.477 with three homers and six steals in 17 games. He’s striking out too much to keep hitting for average, but he’s quite the fantasy asset while he’s stealing bases like this.

Bello always seems to step it up against the Bombers; he has a 2.21 ERA in nine career starts versus the club. The win today was his first since Apr. 27, as he had received no-decisions in seven of his previous eight starts. He has, however, now turned in three straight quality starts, which follows a stretch in which he went five straight starts without completing five innings. He’s 3-1 with a 3.49 ERA overall, and he’s due to face the Giants next. He seems like at least a streaming option in that one.

The Red Sox decided to give Aroldis Chapman a second straight day off after he pitched five times in seven days. Whitlock came in with two on and Aaron Judge up in the eighth and got an inning-ending double play. He then retired Cody Bellinger, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Anthony Volpe in the third, striking out the last two. Coming off elbow surgery, Whitlock had a 4.43 ERA in his first 15 appearances this season. His last 11, though, have seen him allow one run in 14 innings and earn four wins, two holds and now his first save.

Devers grounded into double plays twice before sneaking a ball just over the Green Monster. He walked in his final plate appearance. Devers has 273 doubles, 12 triples and 215 homers in his career. 31 of his homers have come against the Yankees, which is seven more than he has against any other team (24 versus the Blue Jays).

Crawford broke the game open in the second inning as he crushed a 1-2 slider from Luis Ortiz for a 377-foot (99.0 mph EV) grand slam to right field that increased the M’s advantage to 5-0. That would be his only hit on the afternoon but was more than enough to support Emerson Hancock and company. On the season, the 30-year-old shortstop is now hitting .296/.411/.413 with six homers and 29 RBI.
