Bader led off the third inning with an infield single, stole second base and came around to score the Twins’ first run on error by Francisco Lindor. The 30-year-old outfielder then delivered an RBI single in the fourth inning that gave the Twins a 3-2 lead. He also singled in the eighth inning. With the three-hit attack, Bader is now slashing .255/.286/.468 with three homers, 11 RBI and one stolen base through his first 16 games on the season.

Larnach hit a 108.5 mph double off Logan Webb in the first, but the Twins couldn’t capitalize then. The two-run homer came in the third, and Minnesota’s pitching staff made a 2-1 lead hold up over the rest of the evening. Larnach is batting .232/.313/.380 with six homers and 20 RBI through 39 games. It’s not great for a guy who is spending a lot of time DHing, but it seems unlikely that the Twins will be able to do better.

He gave up only two hits, though one was a Heliot Ramos homer. The Twins probably could have stuck with Ryan longer tonight, as he threw only 76 pitches, 55 of which were fastballs. However, he was coming off a brief illness that caused him to be pushed back in the rotation. Ryan has allowed a total of two runs in his last three starts, and he looks like a legitimate top-10 fantasy SP at the moment. He’ll face the Brewers next.

After missing out on a save chance Friday, Duran was available tonight to record his third save in four days. He and Griffin Jax will likely be back down tomorrow, so Cole Sands might wind up with a save chance then.

He went 0-for-1 with a walk before leaving. It’s worth noting that Altuve’s exit comes in a game where Houston is trailing by five runs, so there’s at least a chance this is precautionary. He’ll likely undergo some testing before Sunday’s finale, but it seems likely that the 35-year-old will be out of that lineup for at least that game. Brendan Rodgers has taken over at second base.

The Cardinals did all of their damage against the Nationals in the second inning on Saturday, brining in all four of their runs in the frame. Nootbaar drove in two on a double off Trevor Williams for his only hit in the game. The 27-year-old outfielder is having a solid season at the plate, slashing .243/.368/.401 with five homers, 25 runs scored, and four steals across 182 plate appearances.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell told reporters that the benching is precautionary, so there’s a good chance this will only be a game or two absence for the 30-year-old. Seiya Suzuki will be the left fielder, and Pete Crow-Armstrong is leading off with Happ out.
