Duran was a prime buy-low candidate given his quality of contact, but that window may be shut closed after he’s gone 7-for-11 with three RBI and a steal in his last two games. The 28 year old figures to be a catalyst for the Red Sox lineup again, and it was only a matter of time before he got hot.

The surface-level stats for Jones are not great. He’s hitting .190/.311/.317 on the season with one home run and five RBI. However, he has hit second or clean-up against right-handed pitching, and many of the plate discipline and contact metrics look much better under the hood. You shouldn’t add Jones now outside of the deepest possible formats, but he is a player to at least keep on your radar in case the process stats start to carry over onto the field.

Allen had gotten off to a strong start to the season, but came back down to earth a little bit today, which is not much of a surprise given how few bats he was missing in his earlier starts. Allen walked three on the day, while striking out two and posting a 19 percent whiff rate and 20 percent CSW. He is not a recommended streamer next week against the Blue Jays.

The versatile 32-year-old opened the scoring in the ballgame with a two-out, two-run double off of Dean Kremer in the second inning. Báez then drew a walk in the fifth inning and scored on an RBI single by Gleyber Torres. He also led off the seventh inning with a single, swiped second base and raced around to score on a two-run double by Torres. Báez has taken over as the Tigers’ regular center fielder and is slashing a respectable .301/.346/.370 with zero homers, seven RBI and one stolen base.

Torres delivered an RBI single off of Dean Kremer in the fifth inning that extended the Tigers’ early advantage to 3-0. He then put the cherry on top of the lopsided victory with a two-run double in the seventh inning that made it 7-0. Torres is off to a strong start at the plate with his new ballclub, slashing a healthy .281/.338/.406 with two homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases in his first 71 plate appearances.

Jung delivered a two-out RBI single off of Dean Kremer in the sixth inning that extended the Tigers’ lead to 4-0 and chased the O’s right-hander from the game. He then raced around to score on an RBI single off the bat of Dillon Dingler. He’s hitting .143/.333/.143 with two RBI and a 5/4 K/BB ratio through his first 18 plate appearances with the Tigers this season.

The star left-hander scattered four hits on the afternoon — all of them singles — and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 91 pitches (61 strikes) to navigate six innings in this one, generating a whopping 22 swings and misses with 12 of those coming on his changeup alone. Skubal registered an elite 41 percent CSW in the ballgame. Now 3-2 on the season, he’ll tote a 2.34 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 40/5 K/BB ratio (34 2/3 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Angels in Los Angeles.

Mateo led off the third inning with a single off of Skubal, swiped second base and took third on a ground ball before being stranded there. He then led off the fifth inning with a single off of the star southpaw, again pilfered second, and again the O’s were unable to cash him in. With the two-hit effort, the 29-year-old speedster is now hitting .136/.136/.182 with zero homers, zero RBI and five stolen bases in 22 plate appearances on the season.

The right-hander also issued four walks on the day while striking out three. He had allowed just two runs through the first four innings — a two-run double by Javier Baez in the second — before the Tigers added another in the fifth and two more while chasing Kremer in the sixth inning. The 29-year-old hurler got six whiffs on 97 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 20 percent. He’ll bring a miserable 7.04 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 20/8 K/BB ratio (30 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Royals.

Bello had thrown five shutout innings before a walk, a bloop single, and a three-run home run in the sixth drastically changed the box score. Still, it was a microcosm of the frustrations for Bello over the last two years. With a 9-0 lead in the fifth inning, he was throwing 3-2 breaking balls and almost unwilling to go to his fastballs, which led to walks and getting behind in the count. On the day, Bello had a 20 percent whiff rate and 21 percent CSW with just a 44 percent zone rate. He continues to struggle to locate his changeup and slider, yet has been able to produce in his first two outings. There is enough upside that Bello should be added in most leagues ahead of his start against the Twins next week.

Cosgrove was a mainstay in San Diego’s bullpen from 2023-2024 when he made 72 relief appearances, finishing with a solid 3.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 59/25 K/BB ratio across 66 innings during that span. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Glasnow received an IV of fluids on Saturday to hopefully avoid a repeat of the calf cramping issue that led to his early exit from last Sunday’s start against the Rangers. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern for Los Angeles, or fantasy managers, at this juncture.

No word yet on the reason for the move. It’ll be Miles Mastrobuoni taking over at the hot corner with Leo Rivas at the keystone. The 24-year-old rookie has gotten off to an exceptional start in the big leagues, hitting .310 (13-for-42) with one homer and seven RBI through 11 games. There should be an update on his status shortly.

We probably should’ve seen this one coming. Anderson heads back to Atlanta just a few weeks after being shipped to Los Angeles just prior to Opening Day. The 26-year-old is a complete non-factor for fantasy purposes, but it’s fascinating to see the Braves bring him back so quickly. He’ll presumably operate in long relief moving forward.

He’s back. Leiter shouldn’t have any workload restrictions on Sunday against the Giants after throwing 60 pitches earlier this week in his final rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock. Evans will make his major-league debut on Sunday afternoon against the rebuilding Marlins at T-Mobile Park. The 23-year-old was fast-tracked to the big leagues after being an unheralded 12th-round selection in the 2023 MLB Draft. He doesn’t miss a ton of bats, relying more on a command and control approach, and profiles as a back-end rotation stabilizer. He’ll likely get an extended opportunity with the Mariners while ace Logan Gilbert (forearm) is on the shelf.
