Cruz filled in for his second save with the Yankees bullpen heavily overworked in previous games Sunday. The 35-year-old reliever walked three batters and struck out just one. Still, Cruz has been excellent so far this season with a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 12 innings. Cruz isn’t a factor in fantasy with Devin Williams and Luke Weaver ahead of him in the Yankees bullpen pecking order, but he’s been a crucial piece of New York’s bullpen puzzle so far.

Fried’s excellent start to the season continued Sunday against the Rays. The 31-year-old left-hander gave up two hits, walked two and struck out two. Fried carried a no-hitter deep into the game until a Paul Goldschmidt error on a ground ball in the sixth inning was changed to a Chandler Simpson base hit. He’s now 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 31 2/3 innings this year. Fried is set to face the Blue Jays at home next weekend.

Ozuna took Joe Ryan deep for his fourth home run of the season and also notched a 108.1 mph groundout on the day. Ozuna missed the first part of the week while recovering from a hip injury, but he had two hits in Saturday’s game and now a home run on Sunday. It seems like he’s healthy and back to his normal self.

Buxton doubled off starter Grant Holmes and then later launched a 434-foot home run that left the bat at 109.5 mph off reliever Enyel De Los Santos. The 31-year-old now has four home runs and 10 RBI on the season to go with a .244/.277/.474 slash line. It’s not setting the world on fire, but Buxton now has 11 hits in his last seven games and might be starting to get hot.

Holmes struck out seven but also walked four on the day, which led him to throw 105 pitches before the end of the sixth inning. As you’d imagine, Holmes’ command was not impeccable in this one, as he failed to register a 60 percent strike rate on any of his three main pitches. However, he did post a fine 24 percent whiff rate thanks to his slider and curveball. Holmes had introduced a new changeup in spring training, but we haven’t seen much of that during the regular season. It would be an interesting addition since his fastball is a pretty average pitch, and having more than two secondaries to support it would make us feel better about Holmes long-term. He’s a risky streamer next week against the Diamondbacks.

Paris has been slumping badly at the dish after his sizzling start, going just 2-for-21 (.095) with a 12/0 K/BB ratio over his last seven games, so he’ll get a day off to clear his head. Tim Anderson will start in his place at second base and will bat ninth against Justin Verlander and the Giants on Sunday afternoon.

Ryan struck out five and walked only one, but he allowed plenty of hard contact with three homers allowed and an average exit velocity of 96.5 mph. As has been the case for most of this season, Ryan is still searching for a secondary to help out his four-seam fastball. He had just two whiffs on 15 swings combined on his sweeper and splitter, and the splitter itself was particularly ineffective with just a 9 percent CSW. The 28-year-old has a 4.00 ERA on the season, and it’s fair to be a little bit concerned about his overall upside; however, we wouldn’t be too concerned about his next start against the Angels.

Brantly was 0-for-2 before leaving the game after an awkward swing. There’s a chance top prospect Agustin Ramirez, who is hitting .258 with three homers and five steals in 18 games at Triple-A Jacksonville, gets the call to the majors if Brantly winds up requiring a trip to the injured list.

Not good. Glasnow left Sunday’s start at Globe Life Field with a trainer after throwing just one pitch at the outset of the fifth inning. He appeared to be dealing with a right ankle issue. It’s worth noting that Dodgers manager Dave Roberts came out to check on him during the previous frame, but he was allowed to finish the inning. The 31-year-old fantasy ace struck out six and scattered four baserunners over four shutout frames. There should be an update on his status shortly.

Springs appeared to tweak his hamstring while coming off the mound to field a third-inning grounder. He was charged with six runs — four earned — with three strikeouts and four walks over 3 2/3 innings before departing. It certainly sounds like he’ll require a trip to the injured list in the coming days.

Eflin is making steady progress with his throwing program after landing on the injured list back on April 9 with a low-grade lat strain. He should be ready to throw bullpen sessions at some point in the near future and could be ready for a rehab assignment in May.

Matz will be available in relief over the next couple days against Atlanta. The Cardinals have an off day on Thursday that enables them to shuffle things around. The expectation is that Matz will re-join the rotation next weekend, likely against the division-rival Brewers.

It’s definitely the best-case scenario after Treinen hit the shelf earlier this weekend with right forearm tightness. The 36-year-old high-leverage reliever remains without a definitive return timetable, and is likely facing a multi-week absence, but he’s certainly not done for the year. He’s on the rest and rehabilitation path for now.

Bryant added that he’s received a couple anti-inflammatory shots to address the inflammation in his back and has no plans to give up on a potential return. The 33-year-old was diagnosed earlier this month with lumbar degenerative disease and is expected to have to manage the ongoing issue for the rest of his career. The assumption is that he’ll be ready to return when first eligible, but that hardly seems like a guarantee at this point.

Rangers manager Bruce Bochy confirmed Langford is back in left field and batting fifth for Sunday’s series finale against the Dodgers following a nearly two-week absence recovering from an oblique strain. The 23-year-old rising superstar’s return should provide a massive lift for Texas’ offense, and fantasy manager’s lineups as well.

It’s Lao’s first big-league opportunity after nearly a decade in the minors. The 25-year-old righty has allowed just two runs with seven strikeouts and only one walk over nine innings (three appearances) this season for Triple-A Tacoma. He’ll presumably operate in middle relief.

There should be a final decision on his status later this afternoon.

Castro will take a seat for the third consecutive contest as he continues to deal with a lingering right oblique issue. There’s been no indication that he’ll require a trip to the injured list and the Twins are apparently going to give him as much time as he needs to put the issue to bed. Fantasy managers should still consider him day-to-day for now.
