Anderson has been a solid, yet unspectacular innings-eater this season for Los Angeles, posting a serviceable 4.56 ERA across 136 1/3 innings (26 starts). No word yet on how the Angles will fill his rotation spot, but they have some interesting pitching prospects on the doorstep of the majors including Caden Dana and George Klassen.

Anderson returned from paternity leave to make his start Friday after missing Wednesday’s start. He gave up five hits, walked three and struck out one. Anderson hasn’t come close to matching the 3.81 ERA he had last season. The 35-year-old left-hander has a 4.56 ERA and 104/57 K/BB ratio in 136 1/3 innings this year. Anderson is lined up to face the Astros on the road next week.

Anderson will likely wind up missing Wednesday’s scheduled start against the Rangers given the timing of the placement. The 35-year-old veteran holds a lackluster 4.73 ERA across 131 1/3 innings (25 starts this season. It’s not exactly the worst development for the Angels as it would likely force them to give the ball to one of their younger arms or one of their promising pitching prospects for a spot start.

Anderson’s last win was April 19. That’s now four months and 21 starts since he was able to see a W next to his name. That’s borderline impossible. Some of it is less-than-spectacular pitching, some of that is less-than-spectacular run support, some of that is an ancient curse. Anderson will face the Rangers and hope the witch breaks the amulet.

Anderson surrendered three hits, including a two-run homer to Colby Thomas in the opening frame that put him on the hook for the loss. He registered only one strikeout and handed out five free passes in his return to the rotation after being scratched from Tuesday’s start against the Dodgers due to back stiffness. He can be safely ignored in most fantasy formats and the Angels should strongly consider taking a look at one of their younger alternatives in his rotation spots over the final six weeks.

For now, the 35-year-old hurler has not been placed on the injured list, so it’s possible that the Halos thing he’ll be fine to take the ball in a couple of days, perhaps in the rotation spot that was vacated by Jack Kochanowicz. Victor Mederos was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake to start in his place against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Anderson coughed up five hits, including three home runs in this one. Rays slugger Junior Caminero took him deep twice in the first three frames, accounting for most of the damage. He struck out five and only issued one walk. He’ll bring a pedestrian 4.63 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 97/47 K/BB ratio across 122 1/3 innings (23 starts) into a tough home matchup on Tuesday against the Dodgers. He’s not a recommended option for fantasy purposes.

Anderson has had issues keeping the ball in the park, and he gave up two roundtrippers Friday after allowing three of them in Saturday’s start against the Mariners. The left-hander allowed five hits in total, and he gave up two free passes against five strikeouts. Anderson still hasn’t picked up a win since April 19, and he’ll take a 2-7 record with a 4.49 ERA into a scheduled bout with the Rays on Wednesday.

Anderson gave up a long homer to the red-hot Julio Rodriguez and a solo shot to Randy Arozarena. The southpaw allowed six hits, and he issued just one strikeout. It wasn’t an awful start from Anderson, but not one fantasy managers would sign up for. He gets the White Sox on Thursday if he remains a member of the Angels past the trade deadline.

It was two runs through six, but the Angels left Anderson in with a two-run lead to give up a walk and a single to start the seventh. Reid Detmers took over then and hit the first batter he faced. A slow grounder followed that the Angels barely missed turning two on and then Juan Soto snuck a grounder into center to make it a three-run inning for the Mets. Anderson is still without a win since mid-April, and he’s received no-decisions in 60 percent of his starts on the season. He’ll face the Mariners this weekend.

This makes back-to-back starts that Anderson has given up eight hits, and it’s safe to say he isn’t exactly fooling hitters at this stage of the season. He walked two with three strikeouts, and an ERA that was 3.39 before the start of June is now up to 4.34. Anderson will assuredly be one of the first few starters for the Halos after the break.

Anderson struck out two and walked two while allowing three extra base hits and posting a 23 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW. He doesn’t miss a lot of bats, which always makes him a risky streamer. That should remain the case against an Arizona lineup that has both Corbin Carroll and Josh Naylor back and healthy.

The 35-year-old southpaw matched his season-high with seven punchouts in the ballgame while walking a pair of batters. He and Braves’ right-hander Grant Holmes traded zeroes for six innings in this one, with neither team able to scratch out a run. The best chance against Anderson came in the opening inning as the Braves put two runners in scoring position with two outs, but Anderson punched out Drake Baldwin to end the threat. Anderson got 15 whiffs on 87 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 34 percent. He’ll attempt to keep the good times rolling as he totes a 4.12 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and a 77/35 K/BB ratio (91 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Anderson allowed a leadoff triple by Marcelo Mayer in the third inning, who came in to score on a sacrifice fly to put the Red Sox on the board. He then allowed two runners to reach with two outs in the fifth before he was relieved at 82 pitches with five strikeouts. Connor Brogdon would strand the runners on base. Anderson will take a 4.41 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and a 70/33 K/BB ratio across 85 2/3 innings into a start against the Braves in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Anderson had some adrenaline today; not only was his velocity up some, but he stayed in the game in the sixth after taking a hard comebacker off his shin that had him bleeding through his red sock. Fortunately, he got out of the inning, which was surely his last regardless, while the next batter was up. Runners on first and second were both due to take off with the count full and two outs, but Austin Wells left first too early and was essentially picked off. Very unfortunately, it ended up going as Anthony Volpe’s seventh caught stealing of the year; Volpe did nothing wrong, but he was the easier out of the two while being forced by Wells to run to third. Anderson dropped to 2-5 with a 4.56 ERA. He’ll face the Red Sox next.

A double, walk, and a groundout brought a run in to score for the Orioles in the first inning against Anderson. Baltimore brought two more runs home in the third inning on three singles. After walking a batter to lead off the fifth, Cedric Mullins and Gary Sánchez would go back-to-back with home runs, knocking Anderson from the game. The 35-year-old left-hander will take a 4.44 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and a 61/29 K/BB ratio across 75 innings into a start against the Yankees in New York on Thursday.

On the plus side for fantasy managers, Anderson managed to record six strikeouts in the contest while issuing only one base on balls. He allowed an RBI double to Randy Arozarena in the opening inning then kept the M’s offense at bay until they scratched out another pair while chasing him from the game in the fifth inning. Anderson got 15 whiffs on 94 pitches on the afternoon — nine of them on his changeup — while registering a strong CSW of 35 percent. Now 2-3 on the season, Anderson will carry a middling 3.99 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and a 57/27 K/BB ratio (70 innings) into Saturday’s showdown against the Orioles in Baltimore.

Spotted with a six-run first by the Angels offense, Anderson couldn’t even qualify for the win as he allowed seven hits and two walks before leaving in the fifth inning. He didn’t give up a homer, but did allow four doubles to Red Sox hitters, three of which reached at least 106 mph off the bat. Anderson will carry a 3.86 ERA in 12 starts into a projected Sunday matchup against the Mariners, where he should be treated as a low-end streamer in mixed leagues.

Anderson held the Yankees scoreless through three innings before Ben Rice took him deep for a solo homer in the fourth. New York brought an unearned run in to score in the sixth on an error and a base hit. The 35-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 3.39 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 46/24 K/BB ratio across 61 innings. He’ll take on the Red Sox in Boston on Monday.

Anderson left the game with a lead, but while the Angels would end up with the victory, he gets a no-decision because his bullpen was a disaster after his exit. Not that Anderson was great, as he allowed a pair of homers and didn’t appear to be fooling the Los Angeles lineup at all in a bout against one of his former clubs. Even with the shaky start, Anderson still has a 3.04 ERA, and he’s worthy of consideration against the Athletics on Thursday next week.

The 35-year-old southpaw punched out five batters on the day while issuing a pair of free passes. The Orioles got him for a run in the opening inning on a “triple” by Adley Rutschman which was really a fly ball that Taylor Ward lost in the sun. They then tacked on a pair of unearned runs in the fifth, and that was enough to sink Anderson in this one. He got nine swings and misses on 94 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 22 percent. He’ll carry an impressive 2.58 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 39/17 K/BB ratio (45 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on Saturday.

Anderson served up a two-run shot to George Springer in the first inning. He then settled in nicely, keeping the Blue Jays from scoring again into the seventh inning. He’d be done with two outs and a runner on at 93 pitches, striking out seven batters on 14 whiffs. The 35-year-old left-hander will take a 2.68 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 34/15 K/BB ratio across 40 1/3 innings into a start against the Orioles in Anaheim on Sunday.

The one-run lead Anderson departed with quickly turned into a four-run deficit in the seventh, and the Angels lost one of his starts for the first time in six turns this year. Anderson is 2-0 with a 2.67 ERA, though his peripherals aren’t at all impressive. He’ll face the Blue Jays next.

Anderson gave up three runs in the first two innings, but settled down nicely while picking up a quality start. This was the worst start of April for the veteran southpaw, and he still is the proud owner of a respectable 2.60 ERA over his five outings in 2025. Anderson will get a chance to pitch in Seattle next week.

Anderson comes out on top of a duel with Logan Webb, and while he wasn’t as dominant as Webb and his 12 punchouts, he was just as effective, if not more so. He fanned six in the contest, and of the three hits allowed, none of them went for extra bases. Impressive, and Anderson now has a strong 2.08 ERA over his work in the first three weeks. Regression is coming, but he’s a good streaming option for a scheduled bout against Pittsburgh next week.

Anderson carried a no-hitter into the middle innings before giving up a double to Yordan Alvarez with two outs in the sixth. He finished with six strikeouts and also handed out four free passes. He’ll bring a respectable 2.87 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 15/10 K/BB ratio across 15 2/3 innings (three starts) into a home outing on Friday against the red-hot Giants.
