Barnes scored 24 points, but had little help from his teammates in the overtime loss to the Clippers on Friday. No one else on the Raptors had at least 20 points. Toronto blew an 11-point fourth quarter lead and lost by four in overtime. They scored eight points over the last 8:35 of game time and Barnes had all eight points. He’s provided fifth-round per game value over the last two weeks. The Raptors close out the week Sunday against the Lakers.

Simons went full supernova in this one, spearheading Boston’s late-game rally as they erased a double-digit deficit to take the lead with just over five minutes left in regulation, scoring 18 of his 39 points in the fourth quarter alone. The 26-year-old scoring machine slashed to the rim with greater frequency than usual and knocked down 7-of-16 attempts from three-point range. He’s shown flashes of gargantuan scoring upside, but the simply volume hasn’t been there on a consistent enough basis in a limited role off the bench to make a significant fantasy impact. A performance like this shows exactly why he’s the perfect complementary option for Jaylen Brown as a secondary creator capable of carrying the offense for extended stretches.

Brown wasn’t exactly efficient in his return following a one-game absence due to lower back spasms but he came through with a couple key baskets late, pouring in 20 of his 27 points in the second half as the upstart Celtics pulled off an impressive comeback to erase a nearly 20-point deficit. He drained a clutch three-pointer with just over four minutes left in regulation and added a couple additional buckets down the home stretch. It’s not hyperbolic to suggest that Brown has morphed into a legitimate MVP candidate this season as he’s topped 25 points in 13 of 15 games since the start of December while propelling the Celtics towards the apex of the Eastern Conference without Jayson Tatum. The 29-year-old franchise cornerstone contributed 13 early points as the Celtics shot 61 percent from the floor in the opening half and wound up pulling away in the late stages. He got to the charity stripe a whopping 13 times and knocked down his final 12 attempts from the line. Pritchard showcases his signature skillset in this one, consistently driving to the basket and creating shot opportunities beyond the arc, parachuting in whenever the Celtics needed to create something out of nothing on a possession. The 27-year-old sharp-shooting facilitator dished out eight assists while scoring 16 of his 27 points in the second half to help Boston pull away for a relatively easy win. Simons continues to get more comfortable with his role in Boston, having scored in double figures in six straight and nine of his last ten games. Unfortunately for fantasy managers who have him rostered, this has not resulted in increased fantasy value. Over the past three weeks, Simons is still ranked outside the top-150 in eight- and nine-cat formats.
