Spencer was back in the lineup after not playing on Thursday, playing 30 minutes as part of the Grizzlies’ starting backcourt. With Scotty Pippen Jr. (toe) done for the season, Spencer has a higher fantasy ceiling moving forward, whether he starts or comes off the bench. Javon Small (23/3/3/2 with four three-pointers) qualifies as well, especially with the Grizzlies continuing to limit Ty Jerome’s minutes.

Jerome returned to the Grizzlies’ lineup after sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks, and he was productive in his time on the floor. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, he was once again limited to 25 minutes, so his fantasy ceiling may be capped as long as that remains the case. Jerome should be rostered in 14-team leagues, and some 12-team leagues as well, but the upside is limited for injury-management reasons.

Having missed the Grizzlies’ last three games with sesamoiditis in his right great toe, Pippen will now undergo a season-ending sesamoidectomy to address the issue. He underwent a similar procedure in October, which delayed the guard’s season debut until early February. Pippen only appeared in ten games this season, finishing with averages of 11.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 21.2 minutes. With Ty Jerome having recently missed some games, Javon Small and Cam Spencer will have added fantasy value for the rest of this season.

Small was one of Memphis’ most productive players on Thursday. He fell just one point and one assist shy of a 20/10 double-double, and also finished as one of the Grizzlies’ most reliable three-point shooters on the evening. The rookie guard is now averaging 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists over his last three games. He’ll have a chance to land another strong performance on Friday against the Pistons.

Jackson extended his streak of double-digit scoring performances to 13 games on Thursday, with efficient shooting leading him to finish as one of two Grizzlies with at least 20 points. He missed a couple at the line and was cold from beyond the arc, however, leaving some points on the floor. Jackson hasn’t consistently contributed in many other ways of late, but has shown the potential to be a good rebounder. He’ll likely remain one of the Grizzlies’ key contributors down the stretch of the season.

Wells was active on both ends of the floor on Thursday. On offense, he was primarily a scorer, using the free-throw line and strong efficiency both inside and outside the arc to land good scoring production. He recorded a few stocks on the defensive end to boost his fantasy production before finishing with a solid final line in the loss. Wells continues to shoot the three-pointer well in his minutes. He shouldn’t be considered much more than a streaming option.

Minott had strong stretch with the Celtics earlier this season, but he hasn’t done much with his minutes since he was traded to Brooklyn. However, he shined in this game with a well-rounded, productive stat line. Michael Porter Jr. (ankle) was sidelined for this game, which may have led to Minott taking on a few extra minutes. In the previous eight, the 7-foot rookie averaged 10.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 three-pointers per game. In five games this month, Traoré has hit double figures in points in three of them, including Monday’s win over the Grizzlies. What stood out from the rookie guard’s performance was his work from beyond the arc, with Traoré making a season-high four three-pointers on five attempts. He entered Monday having shot 4-of-12 in his previous four games. For the season, Traoré is shooting a little over 32 percent from three, so it’s too early to expect nights like Monday to become the norm. But this was a promising display from a guard who has made some strides as a playmaker as the season has progressed.

Even though Danny Wolf was the Nets player called upon to fill in for Michael Porter Jr. (rest), MPJ’s absence also meant more playing time for Agbaji. He made the most of his 22 minutes, with Ochai’s 19 points a new season-high. Add in the production across the board, and Monday was a good night for the few who rostered Agbaji. Less than a week after it was announced by Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez that Dëmin did not have a return timeline, the rookie has been ruled out for the rest of the season. The eighth overall pick in last summer’s draft, Dëmin has been dealing with plantar fascia issues in his left foot since the summer. While the Nets managed his workload throughout the season, with the rookie not playing back-to-backs, the issue flared up recently. The expectation is that he’ll be good to go for basketball activity early in the offseason. Dëmin appeared in 52 games, starting 45, and averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 25.2 minutes. While perimeter shooting was believed to be a significant question mark during the pre-draft process, Dëmin shot 38.5 percent from beyond the arc. The most consistent of the Nets’ five first-round picks, he’s someone who will be worth picking in drafts next fall.

The Nets outscored the Pistons by a 34-21 margin in the fourth quarter, but Porter did most of his damage in the first three frames. The Nets forward finished with his second double-double in as many games and 12th of the season, three shy of his total for the 2024-25 campaign.
