With two of Utah’s top scoring options out against Minnesota, Cody Williams and Ace Bailey could remain with the starting five. Kyle Filipowski, Isaiah Collier and Walter Clayton Jr. all saw upticks in playing time on Monday against the Spurs with Markkanen and Sensabaugh sidelined for that one, too. The Jazz have a plethora of options across the roster, so there’s no clear fantasy add here. Bailey represents the highest upside, while Collier has been a steady contributor in the assists category. Clayton Jr. is an intriguing add in deeper fantasy leagues.

Filipowski had been starting the last three games for Utah, but with Jusuf Nurkić back in the rotation, he started and pushed Filipowski to the bench. Still, he was still productive in 26 minutes. Over his last four games, Filipowski has averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He remains a worthy stash option, but he should still provide some value right now.

After three games as a DNP- Coach’s Decision, Nurkić returned to the starting lineup for Utah. When he’s played as of late, Nurkić has been quite productive, and that continued in this game, despite a lack of defensive production, which has been vital to Nurkić’s value this season. Unfortunately, the inconsistency of his place in the rotation lately has made things difficult for fantasy managers. If he plays against the Timberwolves on Tuesday, he should make a big impact, but there’s no guarantee that happens.

Though it was an inefficient shooting night for George, he was able to get to the free throw line enough to reach the 30-point mark in the loss. This came after he had 29 points on Saturday, though neither game resulted in a win for Utah. They’ll head home after a five-game road trip for a matchup with the Timberwolves on Tuesday. George has been the focal point of the offense with Lauri Markkanen sidelined for their last four games and will look to bounce back against Minnesota.

Tyson wasn’t able to stay as hot as he was on Friday, when he scored a career-high 39 points. However, he was able to remain a productive option for fantasy managers. With Darius Garland set to miss at least a few more games with a toe sprain, Tyson’s spot in the starting unit feels safe. He has been a reliable producer for most of the season, and that should continue moving forward, with a trip to Charlotte on Wednesday up next on the schedule.

Hunter followed up a poor two-game stretch with two solid performances in consecutive games against the 76ers. While he was able to score in double figures once again, it came inefficiently. Both the poor shooting and turnovers limited the impact that his rebounds and free throws would have made. Hunter has never been a great option in category leagues, and now that he is coming off the bench, his upside is limited. Still, he is better than what he put together in this game and should respond against the Hornets on Wednesday.

Mitchell was the leading scorer for Cleveland and was one of five Cavs to score in double figures. However, it wasn’t an efficient shooting night, and steals aside, he didn’t contribute much value for fantasy managers. It was a tough matchup, but he also struggled against the 76ers on Friday, where he was held to 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting. After a rough stretch, he’ll look to get back on track against the Hornets on Wednesday.

A double-figure scorer in three straight games, Bailey’s performance on Saturday was his best since returning from a hip injury. Of course, category league managers would like to see some defensive production from the rookie, but shooting 50 percent from the field and grabbing eight rebounds was a step in the right direction. Given how ball-dominant Utah’s young guards are, Filipowski will need to do more in other areas to offer consistent fantasy value. That was the case on Saturday, as he recorded his third double-double of the season and dished out five assists. After an underwhelming first half, George put on an offensive clinic during the third quarter. Shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the field, the Jazz guard scored 21 points in the third quarter. Just as encouraging as the output has been the efficiency, as Sensabaugh has shot 50 percent or better in all three games. Mitchell didn’t do as much scoring as he typically does, but he made up for it with production in other categories. He nearly finished with a triple-double despite an inefficient night. This came after seven straight games with at least 20 points, and he scored at least 30 points in five of those. With Darius Garland (toe) sidelined, Porter slid into the starting unit, and while he didn’t do much scoring, he was able to set up plenty of offense as a playmaker. Porter matched his career high for dimes in the win, which was a nice boost for fantasy managers that streamed him in. Cleveland was missing multiple rotation players for this game, and other starters were struggling, which made this outing from Tyson so vital. He set a new career high for scoring and had the game-winning assist to Evan Mobley. Tyson also set a career high for three-pointers. He has had an excellent second season in the NBA and has benefited from a multitude of injuries on the perimeter. The Cavs haven’t had as much success as they did last season, which can mostly be attributed to all the games that rotation players have missed. However, Tyson has blossomed and should be an important piece for them for the rest of the season and beyond.

For the fourth time this season, Collier reached double digits in assists during Thursday’s defeat. The double-double was his fourth, but the few fantasy managers who roster Collier aren’t usually looking for points. He and Walter Clayton Jr. (15/2/8/1 with one three-pointer) played at least 29 minutes in Dallas, and that’s possible due to head coach Will Hardy’s willingness to play multiple point guards at the same time. If that continues, that’s good news for Collier, Clayton and Keyonte George.

At this point in the season, the Jazz have already begun to give fantasy managers a preview of who stands to be most valuable during the “silly season.” George is already rostered in 85 percent of Yahoo! leagues, so he clearly isn’t a player who can be stashed. He had previously missed two games with a toe injury, but the Jazz are alternating giving players days off as they try not to win too many games. George had a strong performance on Wednesday, hitting the 25-point mark for the 22nd time this season and falling one assist shy of a double-double. He continues to struggle with his three-point shot, however, which is one of the very few things that haven’t worked in his favor during his career-best season. Mitchell put on a show on Wednesday night, leading the Cavaliers to one of their best wins of the season after Monday’s terrible loss to the Jazz. And Cleveland may need even more from him in the immediate future, as Darius Garland left during the third quarter with a right foot injury. To say Hunter needed a night like Wednesday would be an understatement. In Cleveland’s two previous games, he totaled six points on 2-of-10 shooting from the field. Returning home did some good for the Philadelphia native, as Hunter’s 17 points were the most he’s scored in a game since December 22. With Sam Merrill (hand) and Darius Garland (foot) exiting Wednesday’s game due to injury, Hunter may have a slightly higher fantasy ceiling in the short term. What’s holding him back is the lack of defensive production.

After a modest effort in Monday’s loss to the Jazz, Mobley was more impactful, especially defensively, on Wednesday. Merrill suffered a right hand injury during Wednesday’s game. While the Cavaliers announced at halftime that he was questionable to return, the sharpshooter never did.
