Indiana has dealt with a ton of injuries in the backcourt this season, which led to them signing McClung in the first place. However, they’ll pivot to a veteran guard who they nearly signed in September. Morris will likely have a role, but he isn’t a player that will contribute consistently for fantasy managers.

Washington followed up his 29-point performance against the Rockets on Monday with a double-double in the loss to the Pelicans on Wednesday. The 27-year-old power forward had 15 points on 13 shots and grabbed 11 rebounds. Without Anthony Davis available, Washington will continue to see increased usage as he did last year when the Mavericks also dealt with a number of injuries.

Flagg’s 20 points led the Mavericks on Wednesday as the team was without Anthony Davis yet again. The 18-year-old small forward has had at least 15 points in three of his last four games. Flagg isn’t lighting it up from the field just yet, but fantasy managers have to be encouraged by his performance in the other categories, especially his lack of turnovers as he has just two against the Pelicans.

Due to their many injuries, the Pacers signed Robinson-Earl to a 10-day contract over the weekend. Wednesday’s game was the first in which he truly stood out, grabbing 15 rebounds. There’s no need to consider adding Robinson-Earl based on one performance, but he’s looking to earn himself an opportunity, whether it’s with the Pacers or another team.

Due to the Pacers’ lack of healthy point guards, Siakam has been asked to take on more playmaking responsibilities this season. Of the eight games he’s played, Spicy P has recorded at least six assists in four, including a season-high nine on Wednesday. The negative was that he committed seven turnovers against the Nets, more than doubling his previous high (three). High-turnover nights of this caliber have been few and far between for Siakam, so there isn’t much to worry about. The only concern is that there may come a point later in the season when the Pacers’ draft lottery odds become a priority, but we aren’t there yet.

Sheppard, who started three games earlier this season, was back in the lineup on Wednesday due to Quenton Jackson (hamstring) being out. The third-year guard had his best game of the season, recording a complete stat line that included 18 points and three three-pointers. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, Sheppard still isn’t in a place where he has to be on deep-league rosters. The Mavericks will have a true point guard in the lineup for Wednesday’s game, with Russell receiving the starting nod. Quenton Jackson (hamstring) is out indefinitely after injuring his hamstring during Monday’s loss to the Bucks. Sheppard will make his fourth start of the season, and while he hasn’t been the most productive option, there won’t be a shortage of opportunities due to the Pacers’ many injuries. After two straight poor shooting night which yielded a total of 15 points from Washington, he got back on track in a big way against Houston. He shattered his previous season-high of 18 points and recorded his first double-double of the year. Washington won’t have nights like this one often, but it was a strong performance from him. He’s now currently averaging a career-high in points, rebounds, assists and blocks, though that likely won’t continue. Two days after Russell set a new season-high for scoring, he provided offense off the bench in a different form by setting a new season-high for assists. Though Russell is still in a reserve role, he’ll continue to be important on offense until Kyrie Irving (knee) returns to the lineup, which is still months away. While Flagg’s numbers were solid, he struggled at times to deal with Detroit’s physicality. He’s shooting just 37.3 percent from the field thus far, but all isn’t lost for the rookie.
