Prior to fouling out, Brooks was able to pour in the points. This was the second time during this winning streak that Brooks has scored at least 25 points in a game. He isn’t typically a strong option in category formats, but when he is able to score at this rate, he can make an impact. Still, managers can’t trust him to score like this consistently. This was a great performance for Brooks, but he should only be rostered in deeper formats.

Smith Jr. was pushed back to playing a reserve role with Tari Eason back in the lineup, but that didn’t stop him from filling up the box score. Smith Jr. set a new season-high for scoring in this game and came up clutch at the end. He hit a three-pointer with less than 30 seconds left to cut Philly’s lead to three, and with Houston down three with five seconds left, Smith Jr. was sent to the free throw line. He made the first and perfectly missed the second at the right angle to allow Alperen Sengun to collect the rebound and tie the game up. It has been a rough year overall for Smith Jr., but hopefully this can provide him with some momentum.

After a rough first half in which Green finished with just five points on 2-of-11 shooting, he was able to flip the script after the break. He contributed 25 points and nine assists after halftime to help them erase a 25-point deficit in the third quarter and win in overtime. This was the the fourth-straight game that Green has scored at least 20 points, and he has scored 25 in three of those four. This is turning into another late season scoring tear for Green, which has helped Houston win seven games in a row.

Though it was a rough shooting night for VanVleet, he was able to somewhat make up for it with production in other categories. His night came to an end a bit early after he was whistled for a Flagrant 2 foul late in the fourth quarter. Houston was able to complete the comeback and get the win, but it was without VanVleet on the floor. Shooting percentage has never been a strong category for him, but he shouldn’t have many more duds like this one moving forward.

Udoka was reportedly “hesitant” to put an exact date on Thompson’s return but said that he is progressing well. Despite Cole Anthony (toe) returning to the lineup, Joseph was able to hold on to his spot as Orlando’s starting point guard. It could be just because it was Anthony’s first game back, but it could certainly be because this is a permanent change. We may have to wait longer to figure that out since Anthony exited early from this game because of the toe injury. Joseph wasn’t productive in this game, but reserve guard Anthony Black was able to turn in a solid 17/3/2/2 line with three three-pointers off the bench.

Even with a fluctuating role that saw him spend a lot of time as both a starter and a reserve, WCJ hasn’t been a great rebounder this season. However, he was able to record his ninth double-double of the season on Sunday. It was one of Carter Jr.’s best games on the glass, but he wasn’t able to contribute much value in other categories. Unfortunately for fantasy managers that need him for the playoffs, Orlando only plays two games next week.

Banchero has been on an absolute tear recently that has resulted in one of the best stretches of his career. He’s never been a great option in category fantasy formats, but entering Sunday’s game, he ranked in the top ten in nine-cat value over the past two weeks. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to keep that going in this game. However, Banchero was still able to help Orlando end Cleveland’s winning streak. The Rockets were without Tari Eason for Saturday’s game, as it was the team’s second in as many nights. As a result, Smith returned to the starting lineup and provided solid value in the rebound category. However, being a starter may limit Smith’s ceiling as a scorer. With the Rockets playing four games without a back-to-back during Week 20, Eason’s availability should not be an issue. That would mean a return to the bench for Smith, who should still be rostered in most leagues.

Green has scored 23 points or more in three straight games, and the improved scoring has boosted his fantasy value. Over the past week, the Rockets guard has been a third-round player in eight- and nine-cat formats. Houston plays four games during Week 20, starting with the 76ers on Monday.

VanVleet’s field goal percentage wasn’t the best, but the overall stat line was good for the Rockets point guard. He has been a 10th-round player over the past week, a few rounds worse than his season-long value. However, fantasy managers should not be too concerned, especially in the aftermath of Saturday’s performance. Also working in VanVleet’s favor is Houston playing four games during Week 20 without a back-to-back.

Sengun was outstanding on Saturday, grabbing 15 rebounds for the second straight game. While the fantasy value since the All-Star break hasn’t been what fantasy managers have grown accustomed to, the issue for the Rockets center has been turnovers. He’s averaged 3.8 per game since the break, which is why there’s a five-round gap between Sengun’s eight- and nine-cat values. He committed three turnovers on Saturday, but the overall stat line compensated for that.
