The Cavaliers were down three starters for Wednesday’s game, opening up a place in the starting lineup for Tyson. The second-year wing recorded his sixth double-double of the season, with his final stat line only lacking a three-pointer. Cleveland still has games against the Pistons and Nets to end Week 18, and Tyson’s fantasy value will depend on the availability of Donovan Mitchell and James Harden. If both have to miss time, Tyson will likely remain in the starting five.

Tyson is on the injury report with a sprained left ankle, and his playing time has taken a hit over Cleveland’s last two games. If the second-year wing can’t play, the Cavaliers can distribute his minutes among multiple players, including Keon Ellis and Craig Porter Jr.

Tyson has been a revelation for the Cavaliers this season, not only earning rotation minutes but locking down a spot in the starting lineup. The second-year wing had another good night at the office on Wednesday, having now reached double figures in ten consecutive games. Wednesday’s effort was his seventh this season with at least 20 points. Given Tyson’s production, he should be rostered in a much higher percentage of Yahoo! leagues than he currently is (31 percent).

Tyson got the start on Monday and logged another productive line. The sophomore wing’s double-digit scoring performance marked his ninth in a row, as he used a nice combination of three-point shooting, two-point shots, and free throws to extend his streak. Tyson also recorded four assists for the sixth straight game, and came up just one board shy of his second double-double of January. His well-rounded effort on Monday should leave some fantasy managers happy.

Tyson has been hot-and-cold from a scoring standpoint but he’s scored in double figures in eight consecutive games since January 10. It looked like he was on the verge of a monster performance, supplying 15 first-half points on 5-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 3-of-3 from beyond the arc. He cooled off considerably in the final two quarters, notching just two points. The 23-year-old has made a significant leap this season, morphing into a borderline top-100 overall fantasy contributor.

Tyson continues to provide strong value as a starter for Cleveland. Darius Garland (toe) and Sam Merrill (hand) remained out, which allowed Tyson to remain in his role. Over his last four games, Tyson has averaged 21.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.3 triples while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor. Next up for the Cavs is a trip to Orlando on Saturday, and Tyson will look to remain productive while playing big minutes.

Tyson wasn’t able to stay as hot as he was on Friday, when he scored a career-high 39 points. However, he was able to remain a productive option for fantasy managers. With Darius Garland set to miss at least a few more games with a toe sprain, Tyson’s spot in the starting unit feels safe. He has been a reliable producer for most of the season, and that should continue moving forward, with a trip to Charlotte on Wednesday up next on the schedule.

Cleveland was missing multiple rotation players for this game, and other starters were struggling, which made this outing from Tyson so vital. He set a new career high for scoring and had the game-winning assist to Evan Mobley. Tyson also set a career high for three-pointers. He has had an excellent second season in the NBA and has benefited from a multitude of injuries on the perimeter. The Cavs haven’t had as much success as they did last season, which can mostly be attributed to all the games that rotation players have missed. However, Tyson has blossomed and should be an important piece for them for the rest of the season and beyond.

Tyson will get the start for the Cavaliers as the team looks to get back on track and into the win column. Sam Merrill will return to the bench as a result. Tyson has started 21 of 36 games for the Cavaliers this season and is having a great sophomore season, averaging 12.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 three-pointers per game.

Tyson has been productive for most of the season, but the last few games prior to this one had been rough. However, he was able to get back on track in this one by scoring at least 20 points for the fifth straight game. He had scored a total of 21 points across his four previous games, but he has largely been a consistent producer this season. This could kickstart a strong stretch for him, but he remains a risky option since the Cavs are healthier than they’ve been for much of the season.

Dean Wade (knee) is not available for Friday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Tyson will fill the void, and he has been productive enough to merit being rostered in standard leagues, whether starting or used in a reserve role.

Tyson continues to be a strong option for Cleveland, and with De’Andre Hunter sidelined with an illness for this game, he was able to lead the Cavs in bench scoring. He was joined by Sam Merrill (16 points) in making a large impact for Cleveland as a reserve. Moving back to the bench has limited Tyson’s opportunity, but he continues to make an impact for fantasy managers, which shouldn’t change moving forward.

Tyson’s performance in Houston may have been the lone bright spot for the Cavaliers, who only made the final score somewhat respectable due to both teams’ reserves playing most of the fourth quarter. The second-year wing recorded his fourth double-double of the season, with the 15 rebounds being a career-high. With Sam Merrill (13/3/3/1 with three three-pointers) back, Tyson appears to be locked into a reserve role. However, his production has made it challenging for fantasy managers to move on from him. The Cavaliers begin a four-game Week 11 in San Antonio on Monday.

Since returning to the bench in favor of Sam Merrill, Tyson’s productivity has actually increased. Following an 18-point effort on Tuesday, he tallied another 16 on Thursday to go along with six rebounds and two three-pointers. Tyson’s fantasy ceiling has decreased somewhat with the move to the bench, but he’s still worth holding onto in deep leagues until Max Strus is healthy enough to play. As for Merrill, he finished Thursday’s defeat with 11 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and two three-pointers.

After coming off the bench in Sunday’s overtime loss to the Hornets, Tyson was inserted back into the Cavaliers’ starting lineup. That was good news for fantasy managers, and the second-year wing responded with a complete stat line and his third 20-point game of the season. De’Andre Hunter (12/5/1 with two three-pointers) doesn’t offer a similar ceiling, whether you’re talking “real” or fantasy basketball. And based on the pregame reports, Tyson should be in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future. Providing top-100 value in eight-cat formats, he’s rostered in just 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Grab him if he’s sitting on your league’s waiver wire.

The struggling Cavaliers have made a change to their starting lineup, and it will hold for the foreseeable future. Tyson, a second-year wing who has been one of the biggest surprises in fantasy basketball, returns to the starting lineup with De’Ander Hunter being bumped to the bench. Even when starting, Hunter offered a limited fantasy ceiling. Fantasy managers should rush to add Tyson if he’s sitting on the waiver wire.

Tyson has been incredible as a starter during his second season in the NBA. He has been able to start more than expected due to various injuries, and he has taken advantage of the opportunity. In 14 starts this year, he is averaging 15.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.6 three-pointers per game. As long as he is starting, he should be considered a must-roster player in every format.

Tyson’s final stat line wasn’t eye-popping, but he continues to hold down a place in the starting lineup. With Jarrett Allen (finger) out for at least another week, the second-year wing should be considered in a broader range of fantasy leagues. Over the past two weeks, Tyson has provided eighth-round value in eight-cat formats. Yet he’s still rostered in just 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

After scoring 17 points on 6-of-18 shooting in Sunday’s loss to the Celtics, Tyson was far better against the Pacers. The 27 points were the second-most for him in an NBA game, trailing only Tyson’s 31-point effort against the Pacers in the 2024-25 regular season finale. With Tyson starting 12 of the 17 games he’s appeared in, it’s clear that he’s considered to be a player who can provide consistent value within the Cavaliers’ rotation. Providing fifth-round value in nine-cat formats, Tyson is rightfully being rostered in some 14-team leagues.

Tyson logged his eighth double-digit scoring performance of the season on Monday against the Raptors. Efficient shooting led to production, and his efforts on the glass nearly earned him his first double-double of the 2025-26 campaign. Tyson will likely make his way back to the bench once the Cavaliers return to full health. But in the meantime, he’s a nice streaming option on nights when he steps into the starting lineup.

Garland (toe) and Tyson (concussion) are back from injury, with the latter filling in for the injured Jarrett Allen (finger). Allen’s absence also impacts Mobley, who will be the lone big man in the Cavaliers’ starting lineup. That should give him more room to operate offensively, raising his fantasy ceiling. Nae’Qwan Tomlin will come off the bench and does not need to be rostered in redraft leagues.

After missing five games due to the league’s concussion protocol, Tyson is available to play on Friday. However, he’ll be restricted to 30 minutes in his first game back. Whether coming off the bench or filling a void within the starting lineup, the second-year wing has been productive. Tyson should be rostered in deep leagues, especially with Sam Merrill and Max Strus sidelined.

Wednesday’s game against the Rockets will be the fifth that Tyson has missed since entering concussion protocols following Cleveland’s November 10 loss to the Heat. His absence has freed up minutes on the back end of the Cavs’ rotation, but this has not significantly impacted fantasy basketball.

Tyson was injured during Monday’s overtime loss to the Heat and has missed the last three games, including Saturday’s matchup with the Grizzlies. As for when he could potentially be back, there’s no timeline for the second-year wing. Tyson remains in the first stage of the return process as he works his way through concussion protocols. Nae’Qwan Tomlin has entered the rotation recently, and he’s worth tracking, but fantasy managers should not feel obligated to pick him up.
