The 26-year-old backstop is having a solid season at the Triple-A level, slashing .277/.416/.465 with seven homers, 35 RBI, 20 stolen bases and a 51/49 K/BB ratio over 267 plate appearances. He has the ability to play second base and third base in addition to helping out behind the plate and could provide Brewers’ skipper Pat Murphy with another versatile weapon to deploy on a nightly basis. No word yet on what the corresponding move would be.

Megill took over with a one-run lead to protect and retired Kyle Fulmer and Braxton Fulford to begin the inning without any issue. That’s when Arcia strolled to the dish and smacked an 0-1 knuckle curve over the wall in left center to tie the ballgame. Megill then returned for the 10th inning, where he allowed just the inherited runner to score on an RBI knock by Thairo Estrada. On the season, the 31-year-old hurler has converted 18 of his first 20 save chances while posting a 2.73 ERA and a 35/14 K/BB ratio over 29 2/3 innings.

With Royce Lewis set to return from the injured list on Tuesday, the Twins needed to free a spot on their active roster and Bride became the unfortunate casualty. The 29-year-old has slashed a ghastly .170/.248/.188 with zero homers, five RBI and a 39/11 K/BB ratio in 125 plate appearances between the Twins and Marlins this season.

Ozuna, who hadn’t struck out more than twice in a game this season previously, fanned three times against Ranger Suárez and once versus Orion Kerkering. He’s hitting .175 with just one homer in his last 25 games, which makes it worth wondering if his hip injury is affecting him. He’s still doing fine from an exit velocity and xwOBA standpoint, though.

Trout gets his first day off since June 1 after launching a solo homer during Saturday’s one-sided win over the Nationals. The 33-year-old future Hall of Famer hasn’t experienced any issues with his surgically-repaired knee since coming back from the injured list, but the Angels have strictly limited him to DH in an effort to preserve his long-term health.
