It’s Holliday’s first day off since May 24. He’s been struggling a bit of late, hitting .248/.275/.421 with four homers and five steals over his last 30 games. There’s been zero indication that Baltimore is considering any alternatives for the leadoff spot. It’ll be Luis Vázquez getting his first start at the keystone.

Crawford broke the game open in the second inning as he crushed a 1-2 slider from Luis Ortiz for a 377-foot (99.0 mph EV) grand slam to right field that increased the M’s advantage to 5-0. On the season, the 30-year-old shortstop is now hitting .296/.411/.413 with six homers and 29 RBI.
