The MRI won’t take place until a few weeks, but the Orioles want to make sure that his subscapularis strain has healed before they begin his rehab program. The 35-year-old remains without a timetable for return, but should have one after the imaging takes place.

Whether or not Bart is going on the IL is unclear. Perhaps it’ll be Oneil Cruz instead. Davis, the first overall pick in the 2021 draft, is hitting .286/.355/.393 in eight games for Triple-A Indianapolis. He’d split time with Endy Rodríguez behind the plate while Bart is sidelined.

No word yet on if Jeffers is banged up, but it’d be a true rarity for him to be on the bench in back-to-back games otherwise. He and Christian Vásquez have been alternating starts exactly at catcher this year, with Jeffers also making one appearance as a DH. Neither player is hitting much yet; Jeffers has a .515 OPS in 34 plate appearances, whereas Vásquez is at .455 in 23.

There was no evidence of a setback last night. Torres was activated from the IL without the benefit of a rehab assignment, so it was probably just scheduled that he’d play two out of three in his first weekend back. Colt Keith is at second base today. With Spencer Torkelson at first, it opens up the DH spot for Justyn-Henry Malloy.

He has his chance, you know, and he... well, wait, Blewett actually allowed just one run and had a 5/0 K/BB in 4 2/3 innings for the Twins. In fact, he has a 1.80 ERA in 25 innings for the Twins since his organizational debut last year. It’s easy to imagine someone picking him up off waivers.

Farmer was responsible for all three hits for the Rockies in another ugly offensive performance for the Rockies. He can’t be traded until June, but the 34-year-old will definitely be a potential target due to his versatility this summer.

Márquez has struggled over his last two starts, allowing nine runs over 9 2/3 innings and picking up losses in both. The right-hander was at least able to find the strike zone after throwing just 48-of-89 pitches for strikes against Oakland last Saturday, but that didn’t make him anymore effective. The 30-year-old should not even be close a fantasy lineup when he faces the Dodgers next week. Yikes.

Andujar has his first homer of the season with a two-run shot off Griffin Canning. He also singled in a run in the second, so he’s up to six RBI over the first 14 games. He’s hit well for the most part with a .310/.356/.405 slash, but it’s nice to see some pop from Andujar. Just keep in mind that the A’s have several young bats in the minors who could usurp the 30-year-old if he struggles.

Alonso came a triple away from the cycle in another strong contest for the 30-year-old to begin 2025. He hit a sac fly in the fifth, doubled in a run in the sixth and then smacked his fourth homer of the season two innings later. Alonso can’t be counted on to hit for anywhere close to the .378 average he currently holds, but that power isn’t going anywhere.

Díaz was handed a three-run lead in the ninth, and he needed all of them. He struggled to find the strike zone while landing just 11-of-24 pitches for strikes, and he has now allowed multiple runs in back-to-back outings to see his ERA balloon to 7.94. He does at least get the save to bump his total to three in 2025, but Díaz is known to have some ugly stretches.

Sears gave up two runs in the second, and another was charged to him in the fifth before being pulled. He did strike out seven, but that’s not much consolation. Sears now has a 4.24 ERA on the year, and he’ll attempt to bounce back against the White Sox in Chicago on Thursday.

Canning’s line is a little misleading, as he held the A’s to just one run over five innings. The sixth was problematic, however, and he allowed three; including a two-run homer by Miguel Andujar. The 28-year-old allowed seven hits in the contest while walking three against three strikeouts. Not great, but good enough for a win thanks to plenty of run support. Canning will be back on the bump Wednesday against the Twins in Minnesota.

Contreras drove in a run with a sac fly in the fifth, and he drove in another with an infield single in the ninth. It’s nice to see some production from Contreras over the past couple games, as he’s hitting a disappointing — but not yet panic-inducing — .174/.304/.326.

Turang saw his 12-game hitting streak come to an end Thursday, but made up for it and then some with a big night Friday. The 25-year-old has excelled thus far in 2025 with a .328 average and .855 OPS. Fantasy managers would like to see the two-steal total shoot up, and that likely will happen based on the 50 he procured in 2024.

Rodriguez didn’t pitch terribly in his outing against the Brew Crew, but he got a literal zero in run support. The southpaw didn’t have the same swing-and-miss stuff he did against the Nationals when he fanned 12, as he struck out just three while working into the seventh inning. Rodriguez is a solid streaming option against the Marlins’ offense Thursday.

Welcome to Milwaukee, Jose. Quintana was making his first start after signing with the team, and while he needed help from his defense, you can’t argue with the results. He scattered four hits and didn’t walk anyone while throwing 50-of-80 pitches for strikes. Quintana will likely face the Tigers next week, and fantasy managers shouldn’t be surprised if there’s some regression.

Edman was responsible for all of the offense for both teams, as his three-run jack broke up a 0-0 tie. That’s already the sixth homer of the season in 15 games for Edman, who was not exactly known for his power while a member of the Cardinals. The Dodgers have clearly found something, but some homer regression is (obviously) coming.

Boyd matched Yoshinobu Yamamoto zero-for-zero for the overwhelming majority of the contest, but in the sixth inning, Tommy Edman hit a three-run homer. It’s a disappointing end to what was an outstanding start for Boyd that saw him fan seven and generated 17 swings and misses on 98 pitches. He’ll hope for some run support against the Padres next week in San Diego.

Yamamoto was exceptional on Friday; throwing everything for strikes and showing electric movement on his offerings. The right-hander has allowed just one run over his last two outings, and his ERA is a sparkling 1.23 on the campaign. Yamamoto has pitched like an ace thus far in 2025, and he’ll get a terrible Rockies’ lineup Wednesday.

Jung got the Rangers on the board with an RBI single and then blasted a two-run shot off Trent Thornton in the sixth to tie the game at 3-3. That’s the first homer of the season, but Jung has been scorching hot since coming off the injured list and is hitting a robust .474/.474/.842.

Raleigh dumped a two-run shot over the right-centerfield fence to give Seattle a 5-3 lead. The power-hitting backstop has three homers on the season, and after hitting 34 in 2024, this is a sustainable pace. Raleigh won’t help in average, but the power production is matched by few behind the plate.

Miller has struggled with efficiency, and he needed 100 pitches to get through his five innings. He also struck out five to go with three walks, and outside of an RBI single from Josh Jung, he held the Rangers’ lineup in check and then some. Miller is a strong fantasy option, and that’ll remain the case Thursday even pitching in Cincinnati.

The 36-year-old struggled with his command, and allowed two homers and four walks. There were flashes of the old deGrom with four strikeouts, but a disappointing result consider the lineup and the park he was pitching in. He’ll face the Angels next week and look to lower a 4.30 ERA.

The Tigers were staring at a 4-1 deficit heading into the sixth inning but they made quick work of that with a pair of walks and three consecutive singles to start the frame, with Dingler’s RBI single tying the game at 4-4. He also led off the fifth inning with a single and scored his club’s first run on a throwing error by Matt Wallner. Dingler has been absolutely sizzling at the plate to open the season, slashing .387/.406/.677 with a pair of homers and eight RBI.

Keith played a role in the Tigers’ four-run rally in the sixth inning, reaching on an infield single to load the bases with nobody out. He then scored the tying run on Dillon Dingler’s RBI single. The 23-year-old infielder also drove in a valuable insurance run with a two-out RBI single off of Justin Topa in the seventh inning. With the two-hit attack, he’s now hitting .200/.385/.250 with zero home runs, two RBI and no stolen bases.

Kahnle made things interesting by allowing a one-out single to Trevor Larnach and a two-out infield single to Edouard Julien. He then surrendered an RBI ground ball single to Ty France that trimmed the lead to one run before ralling to get Mickey Gasper on a ground ball to first to end it. Kahnle has allowed just one run through his first five innings on the season while registering a 5/0 K/BB ratio. While many have speculated that the Tigers’ bullpen will be full of chaos in 2025, it has been Kahnle that has emerged in a traditional closer’s role to open the season. He’s worth a look in any fantasy leagues where he may still be hanging around on the waiver wire.

Olson also issued three walks on the night while striking out three. He threw just 48 of his 90 pitches for strikes in the ballgame, which contributed to his early exit. The Twins scratched out a run against him in the second inning on an RBI single off the bat of Ty France, then broke the game open with three more in the fifth while chasing him. Olson got 10 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 6.00 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and a 13/8 K/BB ratio (15 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
