He then knocked a base hit in the third and drew a walk in the fifth to reach three times on the day. As a team, the Rockies were only able to muster five hits in the ballgame, all of them singles. Goodman smacked a two-out single off of Kyle Hendricks in the first inning and another off of Luis Garcia in the ninth inning, but the Rockies were unable to cash him in either time. He’s enjoying a tremendous season in the middle of the Rockies’ lineup, slashing .281/.327/.527 with 30 homers, 88 RBI and one stolen base in 550 plate appearances. He’ll be in the conversation for the second overall catcher off the board in 2026 fantasy drafts behind only Cal Raleigh.

Goodman’s only hit of the game left the yard as he took Kirby Yates deep for a solo homer in the ninth inning. The 25-year-old backstop is up to 30 home runs and 87 RBI while hitting an outstanding .282/.327/.540 across 511 plate appearances.

Goodman also singled and drew a walk. The homer was the 28th of the season for the backstop, and that along with the RBI double gives him 85 on the campaign. Goodman is built for Coors Field — not many hitters aren’t, but, it’s worth mentioning, anyway — and there’s plenty of reason to think he’s going to contribute for the rest of 2025 and beyond.

Goodman drove in all four of Colorado’s runs on Tuesday, starting a base hit in the third to bring one home. He knocked in another run with a single in the fifth, then took José Buttó deep for a two-run blast seventh. The 25-year-old backstop is up to 27 homers while slashing .277/.323/.523 with 80 RBI across 489 plate appearances.

Goodman’s 408-foot shot to left-center off Dennis Santana in the ninth would have been a homer in 29 ballparks, but not PNC. Goodman has six homers this month anyway. Cal Raleigh (66) and Salvador Perez (53) are the only catchers with more extra-base hits than Goodman’s 52.

Goodman, who entered the night in a 6-for-36 slump had an RBI single in the sixth and a two-run double in the eighth. He overtook Salvador Perez and now ranks second among catchers with his 72 RBI this year. He’s a mere 30 behind Cal Raleigh for first place.

Goodman took Brandon Pfaadt deep for his 25th homer of the season while leading the Rockies to their 33rd win of the year. One of those totals is a lot more impressive than the other. The 25-year-old backstop also drew a walk and is slashing a commendable .277/.326/.532 over 404 games. His .859 OPS is now the 20th best in baseball.

Goodman’s 23rd homer of the season gave the Rockies a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning. The 25-year-old has been arguably the biggest bright spot for Colorado in 2025 with an .840 OPS with 66 RBi in 104 games. That’s faint praise because, well, look at the record, but Goodman is deserving of his flowers.

Goodman put the Rockies on the board right away, taking José Berríos deep for a two-run shot in the first inning. After drawing a walk in the third, he singled and scored in the sixth. The 25-year-old backstop is hitting .281/.328/.531 with 22 homers and 64 RBI across 405 plate appearances.

Goodman swatted a two-run blast for his 18th homer of the season. The 25-year-old All-Star has been one of the very few bright spots for a team that needed to win Saturday night to get to 50 games under .500. He also singled twice to improve his slash to a very strong .282/.329/.528.

There haven’t been any rumblings about the 25-year-old All-Star backstop dealing with any sort of injury, but he did sit out the final game before the Mid-Summer Classic and he’s sitting on Friday night as well which is at least a bit curious. Austin Nola will start in his place behind the dish on Friday night and bat eighth against Chris Paddack and the Twins.

Goodman has gone 3-for-17 with two round-trippers in four contests since returning earlier this week from a four-game absence due to a hamstring issue. It’ll be veteran Austin Nola behind the plate on Sunday afternoon at Coors Field.

Goodman made an instant impact in his return to Colorado’s lineup following a four-game absence due to a hamstring injury, taking Astros starter Colton Gordon deep for a solo homer in the second inning to put the Rockies on the board. He then drew a walk to lead off the third and scored on a sacrifice fly. Goodman later took Josh Hader deep for his second solo homer to cut the Astros lead to one in the ninth. The 25-year-old catcher is up to 16 homers and 50 RBI while slashing .290/.337/.532 across 315 plate appearances.

This certainly qualifies as a surprise since MLB.com’s Thomas Harding reported on Monday that veteran catcher Austin Nola was being called up from Triple-A, which seemed to signal that Goodman was headed to the injured list. The 25-year-old backstop will handle the catching duties on Tuesday night following a four-game absence due to a hamstring issue.

Hunter Goodman appears headed to the injured list with a hamstring strain after missing the club’s last four games. Nothing official yet, but it seems inevitable with Nola coming up to take a roster spot ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Astros.

Goodman takes a seat for the fourth straight game as he continues to battle a lingering hamstring issue. The 25-year-old backstop remains day-to-day at the moment. There should be a clearer picture concerning whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list following Monday’s off-day ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Astros. It’ll be rookie Braxton Fulford continuing to handle the catching duties in his absence.

It’s the third straight game that the 25-year-old slugger has missed with a nagging hamstring injury. While there haven’t been any indications yet that he’ll require a trip to the injured list, if this lingers for a few more days we may end up seeing a backdated stint there. He’s still considered day-to-day.

Goodman has been an unexpected revelation this season for the Rockies, emerging as their primary offensive catalyst with a career-high 14 round-trippers through 76 games. The 25-year-old backstop is presumably day-to-day heading into the weekend. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him limited to DH duty for the next few days out of an abundance of caution.

The team had Monday off, so this means Goodman’s started just twice in five days, which is kind of curious. The Rockies were often DHing him when he wasn’t catching, and he started 39 straight games from April 13 through May 25.

Goodman takes a seat for just the third time since June 1. The 25-year-old slugging backstop has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball during that span, batting .350 (21-for-60) with seven round-trippers and 15 RBI over 15 contests. It’ll be rookie Braxton Fulford handling the catching duties on Wednesday night at Nationals Park.

Goodman has been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal campaign for the Rockies. His first-inning blast against Nationals starter Jake Irvin was his 12th big fly of the season and he also tacked on a clutch game-tying solo shot in the ninth inning off veteran closer Kyle Finnegan to notch his fourth career multi-homer performance. The 25-year-old catcher has gone deep six times already since June 1. He’s been one of the most impactful backstops in the fantasy landscape and has a realistic shot at eclipsing the lofty 30-homer plateau.

Goodman has started the last eight games and 13 of the team’s last 14 contests, so this is just a routine off-day. Braxton Fulford will catch and bat ninth, while Jordan Beck will slide to DH, and Sam Hilliard will enter the lineup in left field and bat second.

Goodman hit a solo homer off Camilo Doval in the ninth to bring the Rockies to within three runs at 10-7. The 25-year-old has been a solid option behind the plate in 2025 with a .289 batting average, 11 homers and 39 RBI over 246 at-bats across 65 games.

Goodman isn’t going to want to leave Miami. He hit .149/.184/.149 in his 13 games leading into the series against the Marlins, but he wound up going 7-for-13 with three homers and six extra-base hits over three games in South Florida. It’s even more impressive when factoring in that the Marlins shut down his teammates almost entirely; the Rockies scored only 12 runs in the series, and no one besides Goodman homered.

Two in a row for the surging Rockies! Goodman’s extra-base hits were the only ones either team had in the game tonight. He slumped at the end of May, going 7-for-46 with no extra-base hits and a 16/2 K/BB in his final 12 games of the month. However, he’s 5-for-9 with three homers the last two days.

Goodman took Marlins starter Max Meyer deep in the third and fifth innings, respectively, to record the third multi-homer performance of his career. The 25-year-old backstop has been one of the few bright spots this season for Colorado as he’s up to nine round-trippers through 58 games and is on-pace for a potential 25-homer campaign. With the victory, the Rockies snapped an eight-game losing streak.
