Jonatan Clase
TOR • LF
Jonatan Clase will serve as the 27th man for Sunday’s doubleheader against the Yankees.
Clase gives Toronto an extra bench bat for Sunday’s twin bill in New York. The 22-year-old outfielder has posted a strong .852 OPS with 13 steals in 22 games this season for Triple-A Buffalo. He’ll presumably head back to the minors following Sunday’s nightcap.
Chase Lee
CIN •
Reds RHP prospect Chase Burns struck out five and allowed one run over four innings on Saturday for Double-A Chattanooga.
Burns continued to dazzle in his Double-A debut after three dominant outings to open the year in the High-A Midwest League. The 22-year-old, who routinely hit triple digits in this latest outing, is quickly establishing himself as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball with a sparkling 2.87 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 25/6 K/BB ratio across 15 2/3 innings (four starts). He’s put himself in the conversation for top-20 status from a dynasty perspective.
Jackson Jobe
DET •
Jackson Jobe is scheduled to make his next start on Wednesday against the Astros.
Detroit has ostensibly skipped Jobe’s turn through the rotation, giving him a whopping 12 days off between outings, in an effort to manage his season-long workload. They’re basically rolling with a six-man rotation with Keider Montero helping gobble up innings as needed. The 22-year-old, who holds a strong 2.70 ERA through four starts this season, is healthy and in line to take the ball for Wednesday’s afternoon’s matinee at Daikin Park in Houston.

Yerry De Los Santos will serve as the 27th man for Sunday’s doubleheader against the Blue Jays.
De Los Santos provides the Yankees with some extra bullpen depth for Sunday’s twin bill against the division-rival Blue Jays. He’ll head back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre at the conclusion of the nightcap affair.
Wilyer Abreu
BOS • RF
Wilyer Abreu is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Guardians.
Abreu has been left off Boston’s lineup card to open Sunday’s series finale with lefty Logan Allen taking the ball for Cleveland. The 25-year-old slugger blasted a three-run homer — his fifth round-tripper of the season — during the opening contest of Saturday’s doubleheader. It’ll be lefty-mashing veteran Rob Refsnyder in right field on Sunday afternoon.

Rowdy Tellez

Rowdy Tellez is day-to-day with a left hand contusion.
The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative for any fractures after Tellez was hit by a pitch during Saturday’s showdown against the Marlins. There’s a strong possibility he takes a seat for Sunday’s series finale to allow the pain and swelling to subside.

Ben Williamson
SEA • 3B
Ben Williamson drove in four runs in the Mariners’ rout of the Marlins on Saturday.
Williamson continues to impress, and he has a new career-high in RBI with the four Saturday evening. The pair of hits now has him slashing .310/.356/.429 on the year, and he’s been excellent with the glove as expected. He doesn’t have much power, but Williamson’s bat-to-ball skills make him someone to keep an eye on in formats with a shallower pool.
Julio Rodríguez
SEA • CF
Julio Rodríguez hit a leadoff homer in a win over the Marlins on Saturday.
The man they call J-Rod blistered his ninth-career leadoff homer off a wholly ineffective Collin Gillispie. Rodriguez really struggled to hit for power in 2024 to begin the year, but he’s up to four homers over the first 27 games to open 2025. Not an elite total by any stretch of the imagination, but a considerable improvement over his start to last year.
Jorge Polanco
SEA • 3B-2B
Jorge Polanco homered twice and scored three runs in a 14-0 blowout win for the Mariners over the Marlins on Saturday.
Polanco hit went back-to-back with Julio Rodriguez in the first inning, and hit another solo bomb in the fourth. That brings his homer total to seven, and three of those have come in the last two games. The 31-year-old has been sensational to open 2025 even while not able to hit from the right side because of his side issues, and to say he’s improved over his disappointing 2024 campaign is quite the understatement.
Luis Castillo
SEA •
Luis Castillo allowed just one hit over six innings with five strikeouts and no runs allowed to pick up a win over the Marlins on Saturday.
After a couple of shaky outings on the road, Castillo was brilliant in the win back in his friendly confines of Seattle. The 32-year-old was rarely challenged, and was able to get a couple key punchouts in the Marlins’ few rallies. Castillo is no longer the ace of the staff, but more often than not, the results please those who have him in their fantasy lineups.
Connor Gillispie
MIA •
Connor Gillispie was shelled for seven runs in two innings in a loss to the Mariners on Saturday.
Gillispie gave up six runs in the first and another in the second before mercifully exiting. The 27-year-old gave up back-to-back homers in the first inning and a pair of two-run doubles in that frame. Gillispie is just not good enough to be a rotation option, and his 8.65 ERA tells that story well. He gets the A’s in their Triple-A ballpark next weekend.
Enrique Hernández
LAD • 1B
Kiké Hernández hit a three-run homer to help the Dodgers to a win Saturday over the Pirates.
Hernández gave the Dodgers a four-run cushion with his homer in the eighth inning to help Los Angeles to the come-from-behind win. He’s hitting just .145 on the season, but the power has been there with five homers over the first sixth of the season.
Teoscar Hernández
LAD • RF
Teoscar Hernández hit a solo homer and scored twice in a win over the Pirates on Saturday.
That’s the seventh homer of the season for Hernández. The veteran outfielder also came around to score on the three-run homer from Enrique Hernández. The lack of patience at the plate can be frustrating, but the offensive output — and the lineup he plays in — makes Hernández a borderline lock to be one of the best fantasy outfielders in the sport.
Oneil Cruz
PIT • CF
Oneil Cruz hit a leadoff homer in Saturday’s loss to the Dodgers for the Pirates while driving in a pair of runs.
Cruz smoked a homer to begin the game off Roki Sasaki to center field, and he’s up to eight homers on the year. The 26-year-old will have highs and lows because of how much swing-and-miss exists in his profile, but his very solid .267/.370/.567 slash is an indicator of what he’s capable of when he’s at his best.
Shohei Ohtani
LAD • DH
Shohei Ohtani tripled, doubled twice and drove in a run to help the Dodgers to an 8-4 win over the Pirates on Saturday.
A three extra-base hit night for the reigning MVP. The triple is the second of the year for the two-way star, and he has doubled thrice. Ohtani’s .277/.365/.525 slash pales in comparison to what he did in 2024, but it’s been more than a solid first month for the 30-year-old. He also threw a bullpen today, just to remind all of what a special talent Ohtani is.
Roki Sasaki
LAD •
Roki Sasaki gave up three runs over 5 2/3 innings while not factoring into the decision Saturday against the Pirates.
Sasaki’s outing got off to a rough start, as Oneil Cruz swatted a leadoff homer off the 23-year-old right-hander. He pitched relatively well over the next few frames, but he gave up a two-run single to Cruz in the fifth to turn a strong outing into a so-so one. He walked two, and throwing consistent strikes continues to be an issue with just 53-of-93 pitches landing in the zone. The fact he has ‘struggled’ to a 3.55 ERA tells you just how talented Sasaki is, and he’s worth starting against Atlanta next weekend.
Mitch Keller
PIT •
Mitch Keller picked up a quality start with three runs allowed over six innings — two earned — Saturday against the Dodgers while not getting a decision.
Keller struck out six, and he issued just one walk while throwing a solid 65-of-89 pitches for strikes. The 29-year-old was particularly impressive after the first inning, as he gave up two in that frame before settling down quite nicely. Keller now has a 3.97 ERA and 26/11 K/BB ratio over his 34 innings, and he’ll get a chance to improve both against the Padres next weekend.
Sean Murphy
ATL • C
Sean Murphy homered and walked twice in the Braves’ win over the Diamondbacks in 10 innings on Saturday.
On a night where Eugenio Suarez hit four homers, Murphy did his own damage with a solo blast off Merrill Kelly in the second inning. The homer and two free passes improves Murphy’s slash to .220/.350/.600 with seven homers; an impressive number even before you remember he missed the start of the season.
Raisel Iglesias
ATL •
Raisel Iglesias blew a save but was credited for a win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Iglesias does get the blown save, but he does get the win and he gets to be part of history. The homer he allowed was a game-tying blast by Eugenio Suarez, and that was the fourth homer of the game. He probably appreciates that less than we do. Iglesias has really struggled, and his ERA is now an unhealthy 6.30 on the season.
Merrill Kelly
ARI •
Merrill Kelly picked no decision Saturday despite allowing just two runs over six innings against Atlanta.
Kelly allowed solo homers in the first two innings, but he settled down quite nicely over the next few frames. The 36-year-old allowed just two other hits with four strikeouts and one free pass while lowering his ERA to 4.41 on the campaign. Kelly has looked good since hid disastrous nine-run start against the Yankees on April 3, and his 4.41 ERA is very misleading. He’ll be back on the mound next weekend against the Phillies.
Grant Holmes
ATL •
Grant Holmes was charged for six runs while working 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Holmes struggled with his command, as he allowed three homers to Eugenio Suarez, and also issued three walks with 57-of-93 pitches landing for strikes. It’s a far cry from the strong effort he had against Minnesota where he gave up one run over 6 2/3 innings, and the first time he’s allowed more than four runs in an outing this year. Holmes will attempt to bounce back and lower his shaky 4.50 ERA when he faces the Dodgers next weekend.
Eugenio Suárez
ARI • 3B
Eugenio Suárez homered four times and drove in five runs, but the Diamondbacks fell 8-7 to the Braves in 10 innings.
It’s the first time a player has homered four times since J.D. Martinez did it for the Diamondbacks in 2017. Three of those blasts were solo shots, including the game-tying homer against Raisel Iglesias to tie the record. Per Jayson Stark of The Athletic, Suárez had four homers in this game, and five singles on the season. The question now becomes when — if ever — we’ll see a five-homer game.

Alan Trejo

Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports that the Rangers are trading infielder Alan Trejo to the Rockies.
The move won’t become official until Sunday. Trejo will then be activated for the series finale against the Reds. Trejo will be a depth option for Colorado, and even while playing his home games in Coors Field, there’s no reason to consider him in fantasy formats.
Framber Valdez
HOU •
Framber Valdez took a complete-game loss after allowing two runs and three hits over eight innings on Saturday against the Royals.
It’s just the third complete game by a pitcher this season and first that wasn’t a shutout victory (Nathan Eovaldi and Michael King got those). Valdez now has eight career complete games, three of which have been shutouts. That puts him tied for seventh in compete games among active pitchers, and he might rate first or second (Sandy Alcantara has 12) in a few years once the old guard retires. He’ll face the White Sox next, making number nine a realistic possibility.

Riley Greene

Riley Greene hit a three-run homer and walked as the Tigers defeated the Orioles 6-2 to complete a doubleheader sweep Saturday.
Greene’s contributions in the first game were mostly on defense, as he made a pair of fine catches in left. In the second game, he opened the Tigers’ scoring with his homer off Charlie Morton in the third. It was his first long ball since Apr. 4, when he hit his third in seven games to open the year, and it gave him his first three-RBI day of 2025.
Keider Montero
DET •
Kieder Montero held the Orioles to one run over 4 1/3 innings while starting the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader.
Two outs shy of a win, but Montero did his job as the Tigers’ 27th man today. He’ll return to Triple-A possessing a 5.93 ERA in his three spot starts for the Tigers this season.
Charlie Morton
BAL •
Pitching behind Keegan Akin, Charlie Morton gave up three runs and walked five in 3 2/3 innings to take a loss Saturday against the Tigers.
It was Morton’s first relief appearance since his rookie season in 2008. Somewhat surprisingly, the Orioles had him enter mid-inning with two outs in the second. He finished that without incident, but he gave up a walk, a single and a three-run homer in the third. He worked scoreless fourth and fifth innings afterwards and then was lifted with one on and one out in the sixth. The outing actually lowered his ERA to 10.36. Morton will probably either start or again work as a bulk guy Friday against the Royals.
